Steve so will be Lizzey You are so right.

The right person won the X Factor. Steve as his longetivity compared to the other acts will show in time

Steve's the only one from X Factor 1, to have a first number one album and single Something he will always have with him and know

Steve's in a charity football match on Sunday the 23rd, unless he can't do it after all. There are details of this on my fansite and also Steve's new website.

Steve has always got his number ones, much like Hearsay

First single smashes records
The first Hear'Say single, Pure and Simple, shot straight to number one and smashed loads of records.
It was the fastest-selling debut single EVER, with more than 550,000 copies being sold in the first week.

Hear'Say's debut album, called Popstars, followed in April, and there was no surprise this time when it went straight to number one, creating another record as the first British act ever to top the singles and album charts with debut releases.

They should reform. They did incredibly well.
Hope there is news of a deal for Steve soon. We need more than number ones, even Crazy Frog hit the top spot.

And whoever wins these talent shows always goes straight to number one.

I'm sure it won't be long with that voice of his.
A proper tour and original material is what I'd like to see.
Who cares what number it gets to?

Hi Lizzyitus

I was never much of a hearsay fan, but did see a programme other day on how they had the biggest selling debut single ever. I say well done them Since then though the download charts have lessened record sales, so achievement since from artistes is not always correct. Though now the download charts have been merged the sales are now getting back to more accurucey.

However Steve may not have had the highest single ever and album sales ever, but to his credit no matter what they both hit number one and that will be with him forever

I am not so sure whoever wins talent shows does go straight to number one. After all Steve had to wait a week to topple the band aid record. He got number one but not went straight there and I believe his album was purposely delayed by both Simon and Louis to allow G4 the underdogs and most like an underdog, to overshadow Steve's success. So for Steve's album to go straight to number one was a credit to him and his fan base after that. Steve has a very strong fan base, but had rubbish promotion from Simon's promo team for the album.

Now you have brought the point up of all winners going in at number one, I am going to have to google. I need to know for myself if that much is true now

You can browse just as a guest if preferred on Steve's new fan site and there is a thread with all Steve's posts from his new site copied and pasted to it, and links to the threads for the posts for forum members to find his posts easier, and you may be able to find some info on some of the points you brought up on touring, new songs etc ;

I think most fans and especially artistes do care what number their first singles and albums get to, and even their record companies come to that. I know I do for their first especially. So was very happy for Steve that he achieved just that

I don't get the point with Crazy frog making number one. It was aimed at kids by being taken from the popular Crazy Frog ring tone. It worked for the people who produced it and they knew it would by their capitlizing on the popular ringtone. That is like saying the crazy frog song made number one but someone like Robbie can't always. That is incomparable.

As far as I know Alex Parks remains the only winner not to have a number 1 so far.

I think the only reason steve didnt make num 1 strait away was b.aid was made official no 1 for xmas so steve had to wait a week

Yes, Very good cause Band Aid. I even bought it

However as regards Steve's album, even though it made number one, I do think Simon and his company didn't do right by Steve promowise there. Simon should have gone for an earlier album release for Steve's fans if Simon knew that he ( Simon not Steve ) wanted covers. Also Simon could have given more time to Steve before jetting of to America that way.

Still we now hopefully have Steve's second album to look forward to soon and no Simon induced covers

I really do feel sorry for them if one of Simon's acts wins this years X Factor. If they do, I just hope he shows them more consideration than he ever showed Steve.

That's so true Lizzey. At least Steve got a stepping stone to go onto better things and realise his dream so some good came out of it although I do believe Steve was just about to hit the big time with or without X Factor.

Hi Lizzey

I don't take any note of what Sharon or any of her family have to say. Their opinions don't matter to me and probably not to other Steve fans either. I really wouldn't worry about what they have to say.

They are still bitter and carrying a chip on their shoulder that Sharon's acts never managed the final and to win

Steve's Butlins do is a one evening one off it would seem. There are plenty of well known acts at the chartbusters weekend singing. There have been many well known acts in the past there also and there will most likely be many more in the future.

Steve has plenty of things in the pipeline We will just have to be patient for a while longer and it won't be that much longer I am sure

It made Steve's win on the X Factor all the more sweeter last year to see the look on Sharon's face when Steve was announced the winner and although what Sharon has to say makes no odds really and I consider her opinions worthless, it will make me smile when she and some of her family have to eat their words this time round A sweet moment worth waiting for

Team Steeeeeeeeeeve..............long time no speak!!!

Hope you are all well and enjoying the X-Factor so far this year, im supporting Shayne at the moment, think he is fantastic....not too impressed with the judges behaviour so far tho, its making a mockery of the whole show, tit for tat has no place ina talent contest of this scale, i find Louis walsh to be the most annoying little man on the planet at the mo, Chi...(i can't even say his name he makes my blood boil)and how has Phillip survived after his awful performance this week, he sounded like he was drunk, not a note in tune and saved by the Irish voters i reckon, farcical!!!

Anyway thats me for now, gonna try and get back on more often just really busy with stuff here at the moment, running my own forum board now too so hardly get time....If anyone wants to chat feel free to get my deets from my profile.... still thinking of you all and sending lots of ***DUST*** your way!!!

SHAYNE TO WIN!!!!

Hiya Robsnip

It's gone a bit quiet on Team Steve at the moment, what with the new X factor being on.

Seems Shayne is the one to beat this year. I clicked on the X Factor site to see what was going on there and a pic of Shayne came up, and for a split second I thought it was Steve. It was what Shayne was wearing and the way the picture was taken I think.

I thought I was perhaps the only one who thought that on Saturday.........but my daughter remarked on the resemblance too.

Hi J

It's not just us. Seems there are quite a few who have noticed the resemblance. Maybe just a fleeting one at times, but it is there.

Steve's not THAT old!! and he's lovely
Green Goddess

Well his is not 21 and is no spring chicken either. Lovely eh bit too old for me sorry. I like my men young and lean and fit don't think he fits any of those to be honest with you and Shayne is far more appealing and charming as well even handled Sharons outburst and kept his shirt on with a smile on his face. I cannot see anything like Steve in him nothing at all still you can so that is just fine any excuse to vote for him is fine by me

Considering the GBP voted in their millions for Steve last year, making him the winner of XF, I should think Shayne would be quite pleased to have comparisons made to his looks. And Steve is 37 for goodness sake, hardly an old geezer

And please forgive me if I'm wrong and the t's and c's of this thread have changed, but I'm not sure those remarks are appropriate I see you are a new FM, there are good reasons for the rule below being followed, as any long term poster on this board will testify from bad feeling amongst certain FM's last year, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it before long

Oh sorry did not mean to upset anyone at all just replied I could not for the life of me see any resemblence at all and I can't. And I could reply with a negative to your very positive comments on voted in their millions but obviously I will not get myself in even deeper water.

Who said anything about liking their men young, lean and fit ? Steve is about his music not his looks as is any artiste, looks are a bonus if you get to drool at the singing and singer but not an essential. Or do you go on looks rather than wheather someone can sing ? I only ask this as your post indicates you do ?

What was said was that Shayne shares a passing resemblance to Steve a younger Steve at that, not that we fancy Shayne or Steve or think they are fit or not ( although yes I do think Steve is very fancible well I won't lie, because I do think he is )

So you don't fancy Steve or think Shayne has a look of Steve about him ? Ok Fair enough Although I believe they do share a passing resemblance.

Anyway this being a Steve appreciation thread, it's nice to try and keep it positive

I would like to read your points regarding the piece I have have highlighted in your post above. If you decide to open a thread on your theory, I will be pleased to contribute to the thread with my own post/s on this
