You have in fact broken the rules by posting what you did, so instead of insulting members on this thread why don't you go over the rules again and get your facts right before posting, in your own words, such nonsense and banal messages

Just thought I'd post this, someone posted it on the OS, and it's got a lot of positive news.
"Hi - I just listened to Steve doing a live interview with Tay AM today and he mentioned that they are hoping to release either Dance With My Father or We've Only Just Begun in the next couple of months as a single. He joked that they should have released it in time for Father's Day but as it's too late now then people should just buy their dad the CD instead. The interview was fantastic - they played Dance With My Father and Yah Mo Be There inbetween talking to Steve and he did mention about releasing his own material but that they were going to concentrate on promoting Heart & Soul this year and wouldn't probably release any of his own stuff until next year. He also mentioned about doing some intimate gigs and that he was definitely going to be touring properly later on this year" |

![]() The fact, that it is a fact one cannot post an opposing opinion on this thread is really sad. I fundamentally disagree with the principle of having a thread such as this on a public forum. Let me explain why. Under the banner of X Factor, DSF have effectively afforded Steve's fans a means of patting themselves and each other on the back under cover of the occasional enquiry about singles that haven't been released or tours that might not happen, etc. Ok so far. So, can I have a Pink Floyd appreciation thread please? How about a Mostly Autumn thread? A Porcupine Tree thread whilst we're at it? Oh and the caveat is, only positive comments please. No-one can disagree with the fact that they are the best thing since sliced bread or...gasp...horror...you'll be alerted! HAHAHA!! Where on earth would it end? Rhetorical question - no reply necessary. I wouldn't expect anyone to get irony here. Have a great weekend all. |

G4 have an appreciation thread as do Tabby & Rowetta so this Steve thread is not exclusive. The appreciation threads were created so fans of the acts could have at least one thread where they could discuss the said artists career without the need for mindless trouble causers. There are plenty of other threads that discuss certain aspects of an artists career so I don't see the problem in having an appreciation thread. The appreciation threads are generally left alone but there is the odd occasion when people come onto them to cause trouble and try to rock the boat as I can't see any other reason for them to do this. Please do not clutter up this thread with any more of your rubbish, if you feel strongly about something then create another post. I don't think its that hard to understand. |

I am going to click my ignore button for now and leave the mods to sort this one out I believe. I would rather carry on appreciating and talking about the lovely Stevie Baby, then waste time reading any more off topic posts.
We all love Stevie in this thread, so lets carry on loving him

But the fundamental question of why all acts and artists are not afforded the same has not (and I dare say never will) be answered because deep down, the system is flawed. One man's rubbish is another man's treasure.
