Good point John - it did seem suspiciously shortened when all they were supposed to have removed is a sound effect!

I guess we'll have to wait for the DVD release to be sure but it would make sense...the spoiler trailer wasn't that long and even so, it was still added to the credits so technically counted as part of the programme...then again, I could just be getting wolf syndrome...when's the next full moon?

I read somewhere (might have been on OG) that they apparently removed a short sequence
Spoiler

I say "apparently", as it's only what I read, and I can't remember if the post was substantiated as being factual or not.

Steven Moffat (the writer) said on OG that the sound effect was all that was cut- http://www.gallifreyone.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=37107

Methinks the bbc pr department were just pushing how horrid it was to hype up the ep

Just a thought...if RTD didn't believe it would catch on and if we'd had a few obvious ones...maybe it was removed to lower the temperature on the Bad Wolf debate...guess we'll see tonight
I think I made a similar suggestion about this last week. I surmised they cut a scene from captain Jacks ship where he refers to bad wolf

Also, as an aside, there was a lot of speculation over the week about similarities and references to Fenric. Ihave just bought the Monsters and Villains book and there he is! Now I know the book it supposed to support old and new villains but is this possibly more than a coincidence?????

Cj

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but I missed a fefw days last week and there were tonsa of messages to plough through

I really do not see what the hoha about Captain Jack is. As a red bloodied gay man I am all for a bit of eye candy and pant stretching, but I just dont see it in him.
As for the fetishists and gas masks - bring out the gimp

I thought last weeks episode was great, we had some friends round for eurovision and now they are hooked

Managed to avoid the "coming next on Dr Who" bit so it will all be new.
I spent so much time looking for bad wolf references i missed bits- so will use the repeats for that and just watch the show

Actually, now you mention it, I'd read the same thing - although I'd forgotten it!

I've just re-watched the end of the world. Did the Moxx of Ballroom die as well as Jabe?

I seem to remember seeing a black, burnt looking pile of dust on the floor where his chair used to be but then the old memory's not what it was... : )

Thanks cj - I knew I'd seen it before

OK everyone - poll is requested for tonight's episode. There may be a little twist to it too if the universe smiles upon us!

www.whoisdoctorwho.com has been updated already.

The 'bomb' that landed was code named 'Schelcter Wolf'. I tried google translator and schlector came back as 'more badly'!

It has some other snippets on there too.

The site seems to be down at the moment. Not surprising really if it is full of spoilers!

Yes, the Moxx did die.

However, its chair thingy remained, and all you saw was smoke coming off it as the camera panned round.
