How about a paisley kilt, in Paisley?”

Replying to spoilerised bit: That would be so terribly unfair. Poor, poor Doctor.

Replying to non-spoilerised bit: That would be so terribly unfair. Poor, poor Doctor (just the paisley kilt part, though, Paisley itself is probably pretty groovy (the last two words to be pronounced a la Tim Curry, possibly)).

Not a fan of Paisley myself - Glasgow's close though, and that's super top!

Hi, new here so I'll start with a question.

Spoiler
If Bad Wolf is set in 200100, will that not mean it has some reference to "The Long Game" because the doctor said it was "about the year 200000" in that episode. Also, how then can Mickey/Ricky and Jackie be in that episode. Fianlly, does anyone have confirmation on Adam being in episode 12

If I may paraphrase the fourth Doctor, you know there are times MN when you are a classic example of the inverse ratio that exists between size of brain and size of mouth

Could this perhaps be a reference to her dad? that he wasn't the complete loser she/everyone thought he was and that there was much more to him than meets the eye?

Did i misread the original quote? I didn't think there was the definite article in there I thought it read:

that only changes the meaning slightly but might make more sense as we know there's more than one person who fits that description

Hi there Andrew, welcome to DS.
Spoiler
I'm assuming that the Bad Wolf game show uses time travel. If you can face trawling through a lot of posts the idea is that the whole series has been part of this gameshow so Mickey and Jackie are already part of it, as is Dickens in the 19th century and Nancy in 1941. So it's plausible some of these characters are brought to 200100 for the finale. (Or Rose and DW may bring them in the Tardis)

Don't know how far I'd trust that last one though - Too many TBA's in the cast list at this late date for my liking!

No, there was definitely a definite article in there. It was "the one man..."

Hiya mate, yesterday there was a BBC webpage purporting to be the episode guide for Bad Wolf
Spoiler
that showed a photo of Adam not looking happy at all with something
...the page was pulled within minutes so who knows...

Just a point about Adam being Davros. In Dalek, the Doctor refers to the creator of the Daleks as a genius, shortly before Adam declares himself a genius. By the time Adam leaves the Doctor and Rose, he has seen a Dalek, has had all manner of information passing through his mind regarding future technology, and perhaps most importantly, has a hole in his forehead in the same place that Davros has an eye. Has the Doctor inadvertently created Davros? If Adam had stayed with them there would be no need for him to try and get revenge with the Daleks.

Spoiler
That convinces me that DW is the Bad Wolf. He's not an imposter, but he did something wrong in the Time War which created a "tear" or somesuch thing. This is why things keep on working out differently to how he expects. This causes the world in the future to become a Geocomtex controlled, Dalek ridden, reality TV nightmare which Rose is devasted to discover DW is responsible for. He has to sacrifice himself to correct this, leading to the regeneration

Bit oversimplified, but you catch my drift.....

Proof CE is not the Doctor:

He dresses in black - like an undertaker
You never see him in the same room as The Master
When you play the theme music backwards it says 'I Buried the Doc'

That works for me too...also like the speculation
Spoiler
that DT and Rose come back and tell CE that he's screwed up
...that'd satisfy my sense of the surreal...

Well...as the sad vodka sodden gherkin sitter that I am, may I mention "Invasion of the Dinosaurs" for a moment when the switch was thrown and everything started to reverse in time except for The Doctor who managed to move forward and throw it back again. His explanation to Jo was: "Well, I am a Time Lord you know" ...also, in my experience of temporal paradoxes, if the result is for the good of the programme then the timeline can be peeled, chopped and softened in melted butter and no one really cares that much just so long as it's a corking story...

...well, I guess there's that bloke in Cheadle who objects to the inconsistencies in science but he's definitely in the minority...

Forgive me if someone has already posted this synopsis of the plot of "Bad Wolf", but...
Spoiler
The Doctor makes a return appearance to Satellite 5 Space Station and the Doctor is forced to play the game 'Bad Wolf', and he is informed that he has been followed around on his adventures by this group of people, in a 'Big Brother' style house with two other contestants.
