You turn it 'off' eg power or on standby?

I very rarely turn mine onto standby, if I'm not watching it I'm recording.

What channel will the streaming be on? E4? or C4? Ive just got the games on at the moment.

I turn it totally off - not standby. We don't trust the box won't overheat and catch fire at night, so we turn it off.

Edit: He said it will be available via red button on Channel 4 (didn't say anything about E4 though).

You do know that even if you put it into standby, you can still record through it, because it only cuts the feed to your TV - not your video (ie. if you flick to your video channel when the box is in standby you will still see the NTL picture).

Oh I didn't know, I remeber it not recording once but perhaps I did something wrong.
It's bad enough when the reminder doesn't change channels.
Trouble is I'm up most of the night so it would only be on standby in the day time anyway,.


BTW is the feed on both NTL platforms?

That was probably with the old light blue software, where the feed DID used to cut off when in standby mode (ie. the middle light on the box went out - but not now).

The Chicken task is still there (altho I didn't check it out) but the plug in game is a new one. They all play too slow for my liking. The only STB game I liked was the trading game you could play and the one where you could do karate with an opponent like rock, paper, scissors.

I have a NTL Pace box and sure enough there is a red dot on channel 4 but press the red and all you get is 'we are unable to continue with your request MO44'

I've got the red dot too - it's just loading the games on C4. Just about to test E4.

Hmmm i know it does say that BB Interactive will be available tonight in the DS article, but won't that just mean the voting and games (that they charge for) are available, doesn't mention anything about live streaming.

Make sure you reset your STB before you try E4 Interactive.

Normally a reset will get rid of the MO44 error.

I dread pressing the red button on ntl - 98% of the time it does nothing or crashes the box. Then when I reset it's stuck on tune for about an hour Oh well I always have Sky...

In answer to your question MerlinUK I think you'll need an engineer round.

Sounds like you need to phone 0800 052 2000 and get a new set top box then. It shouldn't do it that often, and TUNE often suggests your box is almost knackered.
