Being gay is about liking men, its got nothing to do with putting on a voice or acting all camp and efeminate.

Derek is a member of the conservative party.

Is there anything less camp?

no we don't all have that voice? ok granted a few of my gay mates have a campness about them, but there are just as many guys if not more, who you would never suspect in the street, oh and while we're on it, i hate the term straight "acting", im a useless actor!

You can't help but feel some of them are putting it on because they saw Brian making a mint.

Especially when they start dressing up as well, it's like they've thought "how outrageous can I be?"

I just find it boring.

Everyone so far has lived up to a stereotype of some sort - the fun part for me is getting past some of those stereotypes. I only hope the HMs aren't so shallow that it won't happen!

I know what you mean - so many of them seemed to be recreating some sort of 'act'.

It's not really effeminate. Women don't talk like that.

It's more whiney and immature. Like the voice kids put on when they want their mum to baby them.

Some Gay men are camp and some are not. How camp they are is irrelevant in judging them as a person.

The point was that BB (and Channel 4 as a whole) are only interested in portraying one type of gay man. No one else gets a look in.

They think that camp is more entertaining and I tend to agree with them.

None. I didn't think Josh was camp though. If I hadn't seen him on BB , I would never have guessed he was gay.
