Did you agree with me in another thread Veri?
Oh okay then, it must be just my imagination

I'm tired too, and was just about to go to bed until you turned up...LOL.

Yes she could have said no...but she just didn't.
Or at least she might have, but eventually relented and agreed.
I can imagine a bit of pressure being put on her.
After all BB hold all the cards.
Piss them off early, and maybe it's a better idea to agree to a little idea like this if you don't want to suffer in the edits later.
It did sound that were quite insistent from what Mary was saying last night, and maybe she felt it was the better option to just agree and get that nonsense out of the way.

This is different from predictions made before the show starts.

I'm not sure exactly where the "gnomes are alive" came from, but it's in the WHATM thread. Presumably something she said?

I think (I'm sure - but I was tired) that Dermot mentioned it in BBLB News.

I do think that she is shy and a bit insecure, certainly.
I don't know about she only has herself to blame. That makes it sound as thought she's done something really bad.

Not bad as such, but , she could have refused to wear the outfit. Like I said - she seems weak willed. Time will tell if she is able to see the part she plays when things go wrong for her or whether she 'blames' it on other people/things.

at the moment my favourite is vanessa, however

1. witches do not use broomsticks, even real ones, only to clean their house.

2. a whitewitch uses herbs, oils and crystals to help other people, animals and the earth.

3. using these items all the time will enhance psychic ability.

4. wicca is the oldest religeon know to man. cavemen used it and it is shown on wall paintings.

5. you can practice wicca and be a christian/muslim etc

6. you are generally not in a coven and you do not ever ever spill blood.

7. most white witches are gentle and kind and often vegetarian.

8. i am one and a medium. i have helped the police and members of parliament, when they had no other form of help left.

i expect a lot of flak for this.

She could have refused.

But in the long run it doesn't pay to be stroppy with BB.
The last thing you want is to get on their bad side knowing what they can do to you.

They ultimately can make or break someone, and if you don't agree early, it can be a very long 11/13 weeks.

Ask five witches a question and you'll get five different answers...

I disagree with point 1 (Broomsticks are also used for creating sacred spaces in preparation for rituals), point 4 (witchcraft is old - wicca not so much), point 5 (you reeeeeally can't) and point 7 (I like meat).

Not necessarily. Some people think all things are alive. Treat things nicely and they'll do the same to you, that's what I say.

I still think it's fun that Mary thinks the gnomes are "alive"/watching her, when a big thing has been made about Gnomecam this year.

I reckon someone should sneak in when the HMs are sleeping and shift the gnomes about every once in a while, heh heh

This subject makes Marco's column about initial stereotyping particularly apt. Who ever thought Endemol would take their stereotyping so literally. Literally putting the "witch" in a cape with broomstick.

Pantomime.

Thankfully now she's in the house, she seems to be the nicest and sweetest. I like her.

I heard that conversation too.

Shame on you Endemol for picking on and taking advantage of someone for their beliefs. If it was a religion I bet they wouldn't.

I don't believe she's insane just by what we've seen so far at all. She just has an uncommon belief system.
I don't think she's any more insane than someone who is Christian is insane, or someone who is Muslim is insane.
The fact that she claims to be a mermaid from Atlantis and been abducted by aliens 7 times makes her mentally stable then?
She is a fruitloop.

Ha ha. I don't. Believing gnomes to be alive seems more sensible to me than believing in a God...

I quite like Mary. It was made very clear (about 3 am on the streaming) that she was pressured to wear the outfit, and she said she'd learned a valuable lesson as a result. She is fully aware she was manipulated and is pissed off about the booing. She comes across as a pretty pleasant normal sort after all. I was thinking "Anna Nolan" when she was talking last night

I've not seen enough of Mary to really hold an opinion yet, but she seems okay, unlike Lesley who I've taken an instant dislike to
