I think BB5 was still the best ever after seeing this series.
At the moment all I like from this series is the house. It would be better if BB5 HMs were in the BB6 house. I really hope this series gets better. I miss BB5.

BB5's opening night was much better than this.

Even BB4's opening was better.

I said the same same time last year but the hm's are uninspiring and cartoonish plus C$ seems to of gone into gimmick overdrive ... BB5 is still fresh in my mind.

BB5 was exellent soundbite television and probably the best it's producers could've hoped for.

BB2 was good company on tap for ten weeks. I prefer that.

BB5 wasn't my favourite, but it still had some HMs I liked right away and others I wanted to see more of. (As usual, there were also some I couldn't stand.)

This time, there's no one I've warmed to at all, and no one I want to see more of. There are a couple that don't make me immediately want to change channels, but that's as good as it gets.

BB6 reminds me of BB5 really, they have selected a load of nutters....well alot more than last year. This is completely different from BB4 just like BB5 was. The last two years have been a deliberate attempt by the BB producers to forget BB4 because of the bad reaction it had. BB2 and BB3 and were the perfect mix for me.

FFS when this thread was started BB6 was 5 hours old, I suspect anyone thinking that BB5 is still the best has got to be looking at things with blinkers. THey may well be right, but give everyone a break, noone has any idea if this is going to be better or worse than any other BB.

Pointless expression of blinkered opinion, or is it some FM trying to 'get in first' with the 'BB6 was never as good as BB5' statements.

Some people are beinf very immature.

Years change ... its time to move on

I like BB3 best .... but think BB6 is in with a chance - good mix of people.

It's far to early to make that statement.

It was a bad opener, overly theatrical and lame.

But give it a chance to get going

I couldn't agree more - I took a passing interest in BB 1- 4, BB5 was very watchable.I must admit to not being as interested if shell and Dan had gone out early but even Victor and Jason added something to the series, as did everyone else. (even Ahmed - who I really disliked)

Hope this one gets better - perhaps I just miss people I know.

Do you think any of them were for real though, or are they all actors and actresses, playing a game to make sure they got in? I wonder how long they can keep up the pretence.

I think most of them played up to the camera when they were at the auditions. They only really get 1 shot at this.So they have to sell themselves & be abit outrageous.

I'm sure 1 of the reasons Jason got picked to be in BB5 is because he told the producers at the audition that he was Bi-Sexual when he wasn't & the producers believed him.

Disappointing so far. There seems to be an awful lot this year of the housemates saying one thing in the VT and acting up on the red carpet then turning out to be completely different - so far - in the house. Mary turns out to be very average when she takes the outfit off Endemol forced her to wear. Anthony turns out to be quiet and not as vain as was made out.

I don't expect to see some of these ordinary and dull people being the supposedly dramatic hateful bitch or whatever they pretended to be. eg Roberto is supposed to be the Italian stallion. Apart from being born in another EU country I could not see what made this guy remarkable. He seemed reasonable and unexceptional.

The dynamic in the house comes from the mix: the differences between people and their antagonisms and cliques.

There seems to be a reduction in where the people come from - six are from London - and there are no Scots or Welsh. Londoners live with a great deal of diversity in close proximity and they haven't even left their own city. When you have someone from the periphery it can be more interesting (unless they are Cameron, of course).

Nearly everyone is of the same age: there is one aged 40, another 32 and they seem reasonable people. I can't see an Ahmed mental fit coming on from either of these guys. BB is much better when they have some more mature people who are irritated by the others and the others feel patronised and ordered about by them.

There doesn't appear to be anyone articulate, intelligent or educated in the house with the exception of Derek who seems, but may not be, relaxed. I can't see enough tension between the clever and the stupid that works so well on BB manifesting itself on this series. We need clever observant people in the diary room to talk to BB so the more thoughtful of us can get something out of the show.

This is unbelievable. The show has been on for a few hours and it's already been written off. I suggest people trawl back to some of the threads when BB5 started and the number of people who vowed to stop watching was incredible Give the show a week or so

I often wondered just why I liked BB2 so much and that sort of sums it up.

I'm watching this now hoping it will evolve in the right direction.

How anyone can judge this BB on 12 hours (or at the time, 5 hours), is beyond me.
