Every year there seems to be someone who stands out as a 'character' you love to hate or love to watch.

I dont think he will win at all but he will be the one who gets nominated a lot and stays in.

Yep! I agree- I don't like him much, however, if he winds up the housemates to give entertaining viewing, then I guess I could put up with him rubbing people up the wrong way - providing he didnt win

I think he will be this year's Dan, a stabilising influence but still very selfish and up himself. I can see him being there on the final day, but he won't win, that's if the press doesn't tear him apart which seems very likely going by some threads on here today

He'll be able to put up with it, if he stays in the house he won't know anything about it, I'm wondering how the public will perceive him though - he could become the next Jade, hated and pilloried in the tabloids. Still it didn't do her much harm did it?

He's brought a bit of class to BB - I hope he stays! At least we should here some interesting conversations, If the sound isn't cut!

There is a touch of Jon Tickle about him, I think given a few weeks people will spot the novelty of Derek in the house and will grow to like him.

I would do a bit of research on him before betting on him. Sunday tabloids will have a field day.

And he is obviously in it for the experience unlike some in there. I mean it seems that he has done everything in his life so far, so BB is just a bit of fun for him. I doubt he needs the money lol.

The most interesting HM so far. I think he'll be in the house for a while and has a chance of getting to the final week. His weak spot is if he becomes controversial - that would be his downfall. He'll be lucky to win but win lose or draw, he'll be remembered and recognised for longer than most of the other 12.
