Why is Max a favourite?

Do NOT back this Goon, he won't win! I don't see what it is about him that means he'll stand out from the rest. BB history is littered with examples of happy-go-lucky lads, promising much & delivering little, all of them fell in the first 5 weeks.

He is not going to win, that is a fact fo sure.

He reminds me of Johnny from BB3, but a chavvy version of him.

Its the natural reaction from the bookies, it seems.

Shouldn't worry about it. The odds will shorten and lengthen rapidly over the next few days. Should think Makosi and Roberto will move in .

I have no idea why the bookies have him as the fav I personally don't like him at all.

He is the favourite as he is "cheeky chappie" and he is quite amusing.

He won't win though, it will be someone somewhere around the middle of the pack.

I agree, i really dont like the guy and while I'm willing to give them all a chance i dont want to see him for motnhs on end when theres a million guys like him in the world as it is... having said that i think that explains the bookies choice at finding him the normal and sane member of the house b'cos he fits in with some notion of normality for them but i dont think their normal fits wiht the bb obsessives view for me the wilder the better!

He's the love child of Bubble and Jonny. No thank you.

Yes, he is supposed to be this year's Bubble - the happy-go-lucky, cheeky chappie, beer guzzling, down-to-earth footie fan who loves a beautiful bird!

Erm.........or something like that.

I agree but bubble was a nice guy and had a sense of humour!Max appears to have neither...

I do wonder if they put him as favourite just to stir up some comments about him though so were not all focused on makosi kemal science etc...

Yep, agree with you, he reminds me of Johnny too and I hated him.

Common, ignorant fool.

However the British public seem to like these chavs, I mean Jade Goody came 3rd in Favourite housemate of all time, and she is the most despicable creature I've ever seen on television.

Gawd that depresses me. Only hope the bookies are wrong as usual.

The sad thing is, even Jade probably had more to say than most of the braindead goons from this series!

Yes but not really.

Jonny tried to be funny, do things to liven things up and got himself partners (although i think Kate's best conedy routines which won BB for her were solo acts rather than in their duo) Jonny tried to entertain - he annoyed many but did enough to get 2 million votes.

Bubble was Hardy to Brian's Laurel in a comedy duet. He was also a very sweet guy - remember the poem in pebbles on the lawn for elizabeth's birthday.

Max is just a prat on what we have seen so far. he isn't entertaining or sweet. If I was casting his only role in there would be as intolerant white straight bloke to react to the oddities in there - Jason without the compulsive disorder. As there is no Nick or Stuart or Adele or Tim to confront you can't see him winning by becoming Craig either. There are not many candidates for love interest in there so he might get that role too if any girl would have him but I think Roberto is the love lead if a bit too old for the role..

Given the number of female, ethnic minority, gay HM in there I think Endemol would kill themselves if the one white right wing straight guy won. Its not the message anyone would want to send from channel 4 and as we learnt in BB5 they are keen on suitable messages .

The bookies have to make someone an early favourite, so I think they have gone for the obvious choice of who they think will appeal most to the public. It is early days yet and I expect the betting to change radically before the series is even half way through.

That's right, but because he has a cockney accent he is called a "cheeky chappy" Very patronising.
