Ridiculous level of censorship....
...rendering the E4 stream practically unwatchable. Must be 70-80% of the conversations are blanked and it would seem fairly innocuous stuff as well.
Can’t see me bothering if this keeps up. |

I've got mine on in the background and the amount of sound dips are beyond a joke.
It is making it had to follow at times, so I may have to switch off and just watch the C4 updates. i understand that they have to cut out the swearing at this time off day, but it can't all be for so called 'legal reasons'? They probably just want to save the best conversations for the nightly C4 shows. |

It's always like this to begin with as they end up talking about people they know. It usually does get better ( fingers crossed.)

Also they have to think of the watershed. They can allow for swearing past 9pm but not before.

How much would actually be libel though? When you can hear jokes bar the punchline, recipess without the fruit involved and a normal conversation minus the swearing you think why bother, it's not because of libel!
If you are watching the internet feed you had to pay for it, to pay for it you need a credit card, so you should be over 18! |

There isn't actually a reason why they couldn't broadcast the swearing over the internet with a shorter delay.. but it looks like its more down to a cost/manpower issue.

I think that so much is censored not due to legal reasons, but much more to do with upcoming edited highlight shows on C4...
A lot of the time I think that the programme makers do not want us to hear the "Juicy" or "Interesting" things as if we see and hear them live we may not tune into the edited highlight shows on C4. I also think that there is a certain ammount of censorship to do with how the programme makers want the housemates to appear, as if we watched the edited highlights show and they show the version that they want us to see when we have watched and seen exactly what has happend there would be quite a backlash... |

i agree...why do censorship on live streams??
ppl are paying money for it and if they make a rule for not allowing under 18 to pay for stream the problem is solved! |

Can’t see me bothering if this keeps up. One of the reasons I never really bothered with other BB series - the sensorship - of sound and pictures - is rediculas on the live broadcast. Though it did change as BB5 went on last year. |

As well as potential slander, discussion about the mechanics of the show are often blanked out - ie. the audition process, things they were told by producers prior to entering the house etc.
