Roberto - is he Italian or Serbian?

I dont mean to be controversial for the sake of it but it maybe that some housemates are being somewhat 'playful' with the truth.
Bare in mind this is all speculation.

Roberto was apparantly born in Italy.
My Italian mate and his mum and dad, say that Robertos accent doesnt sound like that of an Italian (whatever part of the country).

They said his accent sounds like someone who has lived in Italy for a few years, and learnt the lingo. They also said his physical features are not those of an Italian.

Also, a friend of a friend of mine is Serbian. He is 100% certain that Roberto isnt Italian and is more likely East European, maybe Serbian, Croatian or even Albanian.

He said that Roberto might claim to be Italian because of the prejudice his people feel in Europe.

Not that it makes a difference. it doesnt.
But he really doesnt look Italian to me.

I'm sure I heard a hint of "somewhere up north" in his accent!

I am sure if he is not who he says he is, then some old schoolmate will tell the red top rags.

Is the Italian BB going on right now/in the near future? I do hope he wasn't cast in the expectation of another mid-BB "exchange" visit.

I work with Italians in Liverpool and his accent sounds authentic to my untrained ear.

I'm half italian and his accent reminds me of some of my italian relatives so don't think he is putting it on.

He was saying he lives in Liverpool and he said "great", just like a scouser would do.

Hiya

Roberto is Italian, but has lived in liverpool for 9 years, so he has picked up some of the scouse twang so to speak. I worked with him and can assure you he is Italian.
