It's London water, it always tastes like that...

I am in Bucks just outside London and I can tell you that quite often our water is DISGUSTING.
Often it does indeed taste of chlorine.

I'm in London, and you should smell it when I run a bath without any bubbles/salts....it's like being at the swimming pool...

Same here. You can't drink water straight from the tap in my house.

Its amazing how quickly the taste goes back to normal when I complain to Thames water though. I think they are over-using the cleaning materials on the water. Within several hours of complaining its usually back to normal for a few weeks.

I think they just draw it straight from the Thames and add chlorine to it...

Yeah, but they take the fish out first.

"Up North" we have wonderful water - soft for a lather and better than bottled to drink.

"Yorkshire water"

and you get used to it
try drinking some softy, soapy. wussy water from the tap from other counties and you will soon be wanting to drink London's "well'ard" water
