OK ... BB has been running for 6 years ... every year a gaggle of fools, disappointed that life hasn't been as exciting as it promised to be when they were 7 years old, watching TOTP & dreaming of being a STAR, undertake voluntarily to put themselves under the microscope of 24/7 public scrutiny© ... every year they queue for hours, put themselves through stoopid "audition" humiliations ... lie to friends & family about what they're planning to do ... so utterly absorbed are they in their opportunity to flicker on the goggle-box ... & they do all this in the full knowledge of what has befallen similiar dimwits who've done the same thing in previous years ...

... & then we're supposed not to notice that they're superficial, overweight, out of shape, dull, thoughtless, venal, malicious, transparently manoeuvering ... the list goes on ...

We're supposed to show ... what? ... RESTRAINT?! ... er, excuse me, but why? ... what restraint does Lesley or any of these other performing monkeys deserve? ...

Don't get me wrong ... hats off to those who manage it ... hats off to Dean & Anna who stayed sane & sweet ... hats off to Jade & Brian who made their wedge ... hats off even to Sandy & that abomination Sunita who had the sense to get out on more or less their own terms ... but for the crack-ups & the break-downs ... the muppets & the mortifications ... for Tim & Penny & Ahmad & Victor ... no mercy ...

I don't know if anyone remembers the character Caroline Aherne used to do on 'THE FAST SHOW'. She used to pretend to be a teenager sitting in her bedroom talking rubbish about things such as Lisa Stansfield's song 'All Around The World' having really deep lyrics and the like.

Anyway, my point is - Lesley reminds me of this character whenever I hear her voice.
