Yes it's a big student area.
But it can also be very rough in parts.
There was a big riot a few years ago. It has it's problems like most places do.

Just like any big city. You don't often get "nice" cities and "bad" cities.
All big cities have rough areas and the more posher areas scattered around them.

Yes, it does have a reputation. Definitely more so than Hyde Park if that is where Science is from.

Yeah it defiantly has a rep, I’ve never had any hassle in Chapletown – but then again I’ve never been through there during the evenings. My cousins are always saying things like don’t stop at a red light after 10pm because you’ll get jacked etc…But then again they live in RoundHay now.
