I agree- I know normal is boring, but a collection of such out and out extreme weirdos and fruitcakes is just too far over the top.
BB has become a pastiche and is eating itself and I reckon this series the producers are just taking the p**s

Or the exact opposite, completely capable of seeing people have no taste?

It's sad because I'm complaining? I hate to break it to you, but this is the really real world, where there is good and bad, excellent and shite, where not everything is always positive. People are entitiled to complain, or even speak negatively about something you may adore.

Can any of the BB fans actually construct a coherent argument as to why it's not crap without defending it to the death with such pathetic comments as "don't watch it then" or "stop complaining"? I've given my reasons as to why it's crap; the censorship, it makes it absolutely piss boring. Anyone able to provide a positive on this show? anyone?

it will never be like some of the first few series where most ppl were actually geuine and not many knew about the show. But now they all know the game they are acting all fake to try and get attention. Unless they put in ppl who have never heared of Big brother before i think its just gone over the top.

I must admit i loved last years and it was my favourite but BB is a joke now, they just put a bunch of kids in there (or act like kids) with attitude to try and make the show more explosive and entertaining, the producers seem to want more fights rather than have mature interesting people in there.

danmoz98,

I wouldn't even bother 'slagging' off big brother.... god knows i've tryed in the past.

When ever you say something bad about this show people go ape-shit and to hear them you would think you walked into their house on christmas morning and pissed on their kids presents.

Theres too many BB fans here vs. US..... so we are out numbered.

And maybe there's also a third group like me.
BB fans who hate what is being done to the show by the producers.

Nothing wrong with the idea of Big Brother (valuable social documentary if only it was allowed to be broadcast intact) but the original poster is mainly reiterating a valid point made by myself and many other people along the way - The level of censorship and the cackhanded direction has rendered the live stream unwatchable. The level of audio muting is such that in some cases all that is transmitted between two great censored chunks is somebody inhaling before they start to speak again.

It’s gotten to the point where it seems to me that there’s an active C4 policy to see just how little they can broadcast and still have people watching. Let’s face it it’s more difficult to censor individual offensive words and libellous sentences. Far easier to just fall asleep on the mute button for 5 minutes. The director (if there is such a person at any given time) also seems to favour pointing the camera at the diary room door for extended periods or looking down onto the garden area when there‘s no-one in it. It’s all extremely poorly put together and frankly insulting to the viewer.

Some programmes promise steak and only deliver sizzle but the live stream of BB isn’t even providing that.

My daughter got me into watching BB i didnt ,like them last year at all.

Then she used to phone me at work laughing so much and loved stu and michelle. Kiss chase and sumo wrestling was fantasticc and the funniest part of bb

So i started to watch late at night and i have to say i started to watch in the day E4 i found that they edited channel 4 to make housemates out to be sex mad or crazy watching the real things that happened showed a completley different side to michelle and stu.

loved them after that they were the best housemates ever,

So i suggest you watch the real show not what the producers want you to watch.

It all comes down to idiots like me useing telephone money money money .

We are the ppl that are crazy useing our texes on them lol

we are the idiots not them lollllllllllllllll

What amuses me the most is all the media coverage of "Who will have sex?" "will we have sex in the house this year?" etc etc. Does it matter? does anyone honestly believe they'd see it? dont be ridiculous, if it's even in the slightest bit interesting, whether it's sex or something else, you can bet your bottom dollar they'll cut to a nice view of some soil... or a chicken.. or something equally as boring.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but originally weren't you able to watch the Housemates at all times of the day, through various cameras via the red button and webcams? Can you still do that? Or do you have to pay for the 'pleasure'?

I've got one...

Watching BB6 (so far - and lets face it's only Day 3 it's hardly been long enough to develop strong and solid opinion) has made me feel very grateful to be me.

I am very lucky to be normal, sane and average!

I appreciate the fact that I don't feel the need to be on a national TV programme watched by millions getting my tits out, dressed up as a nurse or in drag, or as a witch, to gain recognition or acceptance.

Hooray for the freak show!!!

See, after the censorship, you're left with enthralling entertainment like this;

Fascinating. In other news, I just took a piss.

I'll try and defend a little...

This year, I think (so far) it's been edited much more fairly than it ever was in BB5. In the first show we were allowed to see Mary's personality much more clearly. I understand what you mean about E4, though, although I have noticed in the past that the censorship has got better as the show goes on...

Believe it or not danmoz98

There are many people that are enjoying the show & don't let these little things get to them.

So because some of us don't agree with you you think it's alrite to shoot us down in the flames.

It's called having an opinion

Hammer. Nail. Head.

If they just gave people uncensored, unadulterated viewing (at the respectable times of course), then I wouldn't see the problem. But the censorship is a complete joke;

*ahem*

The fact that its a forum specifically for discussing Big Brother would be a slight hint to the fact that BB Fans/watchers post here

Blimey ... and I didn't need to use brains to work that one out either

I've never worn anything burberry in my life!

That said, I dont watch the show religiously, but Ive watched enough of each show to follow it and know who the people were.

For me, the main influance for me on watching the show would be if there was a girl on it I liked - which may be shallow, but there you go.

It doesn't make them right either. They could at least have the guts to admit the censorship is crap. i see non of the fans have actually disputed that, choosing instead to defend BB with pointless comments.

So I just switched to E4 to see what was happening... because there must be some reason all thes epeople watch it.. and surprise surprise the audio was already muted. Looking promising already

I've always wondered why non of the contestants have ever taken it upon themselves to sabotage the show and just wander around naked all day saying "f**k" repeatedly.

Yesterday was the first time i have ever watched the E4 live feed of BB l let alone watch the E4 Channel. It was annoying when the sound dipped.

But personally speaking it's better than nothing

It wouldn't surprise me if the people at C4 had one of these Dippy Birds;

to control the audio muting.

Sorry if you think everyone's comments have been pointless.

You have clearly made up your mind that you hate the programme, which is fine.

But why are you so irate about the fact that other people enjoy it? What about live and let live?

You seem a bit TOO bothered by all this in my opinion.

Most people I know who don't like Big Brother (and there's a lot) just don't watch it.

Chill out and change the channel why dont you.

Oh look, another one of those pointless comments I was speaking of. No intelligent argument to put forth as to why BB is worth watching eh?

I think he's just concerned at the direction of British television. Every channel is being invaded by some kind of spin off of this junk becasue people like you watch it and waste money "texting". I would have thought by now the novelty would have worn off.
