It's like nothing else on TV, it's unique.

It's like a social experiment.. and you get to sit back safely from a distance and observe all. You even get to play God once a week and decide someones fate.

There is no script and anything can happen. Much more interesting than watching all the boring soaps that pretend to represent reality.

Watching the real thing is so much better!”

I do hate telling you this but there is a script given to them each day.

Why not do something that is useful instead perhaps help out at a local charity. Far more useful then watching a load of braindead fools prancing about in front of a camera.

How can you be so sure???

It just shows what a lot of clever editing goes into the highlights to make it have some very distant resembalence to entertainment. I really worry about this people that watch the live output all day. Are there lives that sad that BB is so importent to them ? Boy there are some really sad people about.

Yeah - some people come on to a Big Brother forum, and actively abuse its members!

Hahahahaha. Oh man, that made me laugh hard. Tell me, what's 'real' about a group of people acting up in front of a bunch of cameras?

And don't convince yourself it's interesting and anything can happen, anything that's interesting and 'will happen' will be quickly replaced with the garden”

So why are you watching it and/or posting on a forum about the show???

Surely you have something far better to do i would imagine...

Maybe he's trying to save the world? Or the country at least, by attempting to open the eyes of the fools that watch this garbage day in day out?

Well if he is, he's not doing a very good job of it i'm afraid.

I think the original poster has a point. How typical he gets flammed for it. I think his point is that it could be so much better but it's terribly edited and produced.

A perfect point last night was when they was broadcasting one lot of people in one room with the sound from a group of people in another. Childlike mistake.

Also agree with the conversations being censored, they cut our way too much.

I enjoy seeing how people interact with each other, and what they do in certain situations. I love it when a housemate or BB does something funny or stupid. I think the OP intimates this - the highlight shows are normally great, but the live feed is awful. Well, I'd agree with that. I hardly watch it, precisely for the reasons outlined. Maybe half an hour here and there, but it always gets too much. Better to catch the highlights, and keep up on here. Half the fun is trying to see through the editing, or more accurately to predict how it will unfold which enables you to do things like get a bet on Nadia at 33/1. That good enough?

We could ask you the same question?

Why are you replying to these posts... surely you have something far better to do then reply to anti-bigbrother posts.

Just let this thread die and lets say we won

I think the OP has a valid point too - I am extremely curious & voyeuristic, but BB in its current form has far too much censorship to make it worthwhile viewing.

BB producers should devote some serious time to resolving the legal aspects of uncensored HMs.

I don't understand why they feel we have to be 'protected' from such scenes. The audio I can understand, but the visual side of things?

We can only assume it's nudity they're censoring, but it could be anything really, how do we know? We don't see it!!

How would you feel if any other program you watched was so heavily censored? The news perhaps? A film? etc, etc

Those aren't very fair comparisons.

Isn't it? how much violence and bloodshed is shown on the news or in a film? How much sex related programming (which can be rather graphic) is shown?

News reports are put together very carefully so that they aren't libellious (or slanderous, in the case of TV). Big Brother HMs just mouth off.

Well done. Thank you for regurgitating what I have already stated. The audio I understand. And now the visual censorship?

"Why does anyone watch this tripe anymore?" ..... because bb6 is fascinating, many of this year's inmates appear to be very human and complex (like them or not). while digital spy is the perfect enhanced big bro experience on top of it all

It's a complete joke. Why do they even bother? I can't understand why there's so much censorship, even as late as 3am.”

For a big brother hater you seem to be watching more than me and I love the show.

And I would answer...

Why do people who hate this 'tripe' write about this 'tripe' on message boards devoted to this 'tripe' when they could go write on a forum about something they like instead?

Well I like BB..no other arguement needed from me.

Maybe we're intrigued how the brains of simple minded folk work?

But.. I like how you all brand those of us who speak negatively of the show as 'haters' when all we've done is ask why bother watching when the censorship is so strict?

The censorship is no stricter than any any other show.

If a HM says "burger king make thier burgers from dead cats" obviously that can't be aired, and i'm not really to bothered about hearing it.

You obviously know nothing about production and broadcasting.

Just another attention seeker who thinks he's a tough guy by signing up to a forum and sitting his grotty little room talking shit to people on the internet..... YAWN, tough guy.

So am I to understand you don't have anything against the programme itself? It's merely the censorship you have a problem with?

I think it's ok if you just watch BBLB and the highlight shows, I have really enjoyed all the previous series by doing this.”

I am thinking off offering C4 a film of me and my familly just wondering around aimlessly. I have mastered how to keep muting the sound and cutting to garden shots. I could make a fortune from this drivel.
