Apparently one of the dead giveaways is crappy spelling and punctuation.

Good idea but I don't think it will work unless your family are a bunch of attention seeking idiots/gay/black/"out there".

If a HM says "burger king make thier burgers from dead cats" obviously that can't be aired, and i'm not really to bothered about hearing it.

You obviously know nothing about production and broadcasting.

Just another attention seeker who thinks he's a tough guy by signing up to a forum and sitting his grotty little room talking shit to people on the internet..... YAWN, tough guy.”

HAHAHA. Oh my god that made me laugh. Attention seeker? I tried to provoke an intelligent debate on how the show has lost its roots and is now filled with censorship making it pointless to watch. It seems it was lost on the 'BB fans'. Instead the 'fans' chose to reply with irrelevent, defensive comments, insults and all manner of other derogatory remarks. I guess that just shows the intellect of the average BB fan.

You think I signed up to this forum especially to come into the BB forum? Nice assumption... ass. I signed up two and a half years ago in anticipation of BB6 I'm glad you think I'm a tough guy, even though I haven't actually done anything other than disagree with fans and voice my opinion, of which a number of other intelligent individuals have agreed with me. You might think I'm talking shit, unfortunately that's just your inferior brain interpreting things wrong.

Yep, the fans haven't done themselves any favours in this thread.

By the way, my previous post may have been a little condescending, but hey, sometimes you have to take drastic measures in order to provoke some intelligent replies from the opposite side.

Danmoz98,
correct me if Im wrong, but your post was complaining about the amount of censorship, rather than about the show itself? yes?. ie, what we are left to watch is tripe, rather than the whole show being tripe?.

If so then I sortof agree, the sound muting etc is really annoying and I dont understand why they cant just bleep a swearword, rather than cut whole parts of a convo. Or give them a 'swear box', so if anyone swears before 9pm a certain amount of money is cut from the prize fund. approx 75% of sound cuts are for swearing afaik.

If however you are saying the whole show itself is tripe then Ill agree with the others who say 'watch something else then'

Yes, that's pretty much what I said. As in one of my posts that says "after all the cuts you're left with the tripe"

The argument the Big Brother isn't an example of quality TV doesn't wash with me. Watching the recent series about television through the decades on BBC Four, it struck me that after years of imitating radio and the theatre, Big Brother was finally something completely original to television.

On many levels, the technical operation, design, format, story production etc. it can be at times an excellent piece of British TV. Yes, it has spawned a series of mostly lazy low-quality copycats, but even now with all the little gimmicks it's gone through it still retains (and in many ways has built on) the quality of the original series. Even comparing it to some foreign versions of the format will show that.

Of course if you don't like Big Brother that's absolutely fine. Just don't watch it.

I agree with the original poster that the dips in sound can often make it difficult to watch the live coverage during the afternoons, that does happen much less after a few weeks when there's less people in the house.
