I have been to Italy loads of times and in the summer most of the guys don't wear socks.....oh dear oh dear oh dear.

I was struggling enough with the brown sandals as it was..I am not fond of sandals on blokes.

Apologies any blokes who wear them!

Hey, girls, loosen up - white socks and sandals aren't that bad in comparison to some of the daft stuff you lot wear. I wonder who still owns a pair of cullottes? And the ugly clothes women wear now - deal with that first!

I wear socks and sandals at the same time sometimes.

If I was wearing shoes, and took my shoes off, and put on sandals, I certainly wouldnt bother to take off my socks.

I don't think the sock/sandal combo has ever been anything but the province of unsexy untrendy middle aged blokes but whatever i don't want to argue the toss about the cultural concept of fashion I just found his choice of footwear humorous and thats all.

No I am sorry in my experience Italian men would rather die than wear dark underwear under white shorts or white socks at all.

The sheer natural good fashion sense of the Italian male is something I, and every other englishman can only aspire too.

And for Roberto to shatter the obvious illusion that all Italian men have this ability is rather hard for me take and I would expect Italy to take the serverist measures to rectify this fashion terrorisms doen on theire behalf.

What! Sandals and socks are a complete no no. So blokes get that into your heads before the hot weather starts.

Also no knotted hankies on heads. Or flip flops and flowery shorts.

I don't think my clothes are 'ugly', apart form a dodgy orange polo neck number I got once..and I still wore it.

I don't like men wearing any sandals. If they do, it's nice of them to wear socks to cover up their ugly feet. Women can have nice, pretty feet - men never do.
