"Science" - bisexuals are "confused" apparently - JERK

Pardon my language, but I felt the need to fume about this:

Quote:
“He continued: "I ain't got no problems against gay people, but you're not gay, you're not straight: you're in between. So what's that? You're fricking confused mate."”

Is this tw*t not aware that the world is not a black and white, on off, zero one little place and there are actually large numbers of people referred to as "bisexual"? What an ignorant jerk. "I an't got no problems against gay people, but since you don't quite qualify, I'll have a go at you". Arrrgh

Seeing as I am bisexual myself and am completely calm and aware of the fact that I can find both varieties of people attractive I can assure "Science" that I am not "confused" in the slightest. The only person who's confused is him. I don't think he would have had the same little whine about any bisexual housemates if they were female and he (thought) he had the choice of getting some action from them!

Exactly the reason why people should be taught about sexuality at school. Too many people seem to think that you're either one or the other.

Speaking as one myself, I'm definitely confused most of the time.

How so? I'm only confused as to how come the concept of people who like both genders is such a baffling concept for Johnny McStraight to grasp.

I can safely say that I've had a couple of boyfriends who have been bisexual. They're not 'confused,' just fancy both sexes, that's all. Nothing confusing about it.

I'm not too clear about my own views on bisexuality, so I won't start out spouting rubbish like Science has done. He is really starting to piss me off- especially last night, going off on one like that. Everything sets him off, salad cream, his music, kamel, bisexuality.... calm down for a minute.

Well as a gay man, I have been told I'm only gay because I haven't had a good woman and also that I should pop down to the doctor's a get an injection.

As for confusion they often said that everyone goes through a confused patch at adolesence bet for finally deciding what you are. What conplete twonk. I was never confused. As long as I have been having sexual urges, they have been for men, never women, never any doubt and certainly no confussion.

I think he was trying to say that he believes they must have a preference, but how he knows this when he isn't in that situation, I don't know!
BigBrother.

I don't agree that bisexuals are confused. I just think they're bloody greedy!

That's really hurtful, sorry. I know you were kidding. But how does that make sense?

I found it funny. Certainly, bisexual people are very lucky, I feel, to be attracted to both sexes.

As someone who is bisexual I would have to say that the "confused..." line is quite a common bit of prejudice and I have had it from both gay and straight people. Do I have a preference? yes as it happens but not just about gender - I tend to go for people with dark hair but not always, I tend to choose intelligent liberal people but not always etc.

I am however very comfortable in my self and my preferences and far from confused.

As a gay man, I would think that is would be great to be bisexual. I also think the world would be a better place if everyone was bisexual.

No hang us then and everyone would or could fancy everyone else.

It would certainly stop the divide that there is between gays like myself and straight people.

Very well said. Can't understand why people are so fussed over gender stereotyping
