What's going on this year?! ... OK, we're used to adolescent boy posters rallying to the defence of their favourite girlie HM because in their pubescent fantasies they imagine she'll "favour" them for it once she's given the old heave-ho & is at liberty in Chavsville ... but what's with Starsky & Mr Blonde? ... have these guys been paid to BIG UP Max-well or do they just identify so strongly with his pot-bellied, lardy-skinned, fat-faced, loud-mouthed persona that they can't help whoring on his behalf? ... it's getting embarrassing, boys! ...

Please tell me someone else has noticed this?”

LOL...it's true.

You do see quite a few people who have fattish bellies, chubbyish faces, but have relatively skinny arms and legs.

It's the beer that does it you know

I can see good and bad in him.

On one hand he can be friendly, chatty, and good to be around.
But on the other hand, he does seem to have an attitude problem as a poster said on the first page.
He's okay if you're on his good side,..but he seems to have a very low tolerance level. If he gets wound up by anything he seems to come out with things that don't look good at all.

A big problem seems to be that he is proud to be inconsiderate to others if he feels like it, and wears his refusal to understand others like a badge. Or so it seems on occasion so far.

He seemed okay enough last night. It's early days I suppose.

The guy emboddies everything that is wrong with the English 'identity'.

It wont be long until max is the clear favourite to win...last night he was the star of the show with his haircut jokes and his well-constructed arguments with makosi and kemal...he is devilishly handsome whether you think he is fat or not...hes just an all-round nice guy who is a credit to the show...

Easy tiger, folk will begin to think that you are his boyfriend. Personally, i think Max protests far too loudly to be straight.

I think your last line speaks volumes.

Over the years, I have seen you pop-up in defence of several 'reality show' characters on this board. The ones you appear to laud the most all seem to fit into a particular, for want of a better word, category. The all tend to be supposedly 'loveable, down-to-earth, geezer' types such as Jade, her ex-partner and now Max. I wonder as to whether your own 'real-life' personality is similar to this or even aspires to be like this.

I don't find this kind of people attractive - and I'd venture I'm not unusual in this - and I personally don't understand how you don't understand that others don't find these particular character likeable.

Rubber nun...i like the people who werent born with a silver spoon in their mouth...jade came from a rough background...as did jeff and now max...i see people like them all the time and despite the popular stereotype of them they are actually great people to be around...max is just an ordinary bloke who likes a laugh...there is no malice coming from him...

He made an initial good impression on me but went down so quickly in my estminations, none more so than with his homphobic outburst. His humour isnt original, hes obnoxious etc etc. Just because you like him does not mean he has to be liked by everyone else.

Lol, that’s not as far away from the truth as some people might imagine.

Do keep in mind that we can’t just berate Max for being Homophobic; when Science and Anthony are too – surely there’s enough hate to go around for everyone.

Whilst my politics do lean to the left, and by that I mean 'old left', I don't particularly care whether someone was born with a silver spoon in their mouth or not, as ultimately, it's what people are like as individuals.

What I don't understand is your "ordinary bloke" idea. I come from Manchester, and not a particularly affluent area at that, and yet, whilst there a 'Max's' in my local area, to me they aren't "ordinary blokes" and I certainly don't have anyone like that in my own circle of friends. I think what constitutes "ordinary" is partly down to what some personal idea of what constitutes as normative.

This kind of person obviously is a norm to you, but you have to understand that not everybody will be aligned with your own way of thinking.

Science is an idiot, but a different sort to Max in that it is not his nastiness that rattles, but his incesent moaning, annoying voice.

Anthony is a total closet case- every gay guys gaydar will be telling them the same

Lol, no comment on that suggestion!!

But, if they had put in a gay man who wasn’t camp/was into football etc, Ant’s mind would have exploded with astonishment!! Is he the one who told Craig that he wouldn’t associate with him outside the house or inside the house for that matter??
