Theres Something About Mary
Now of course her entrance was OTT and slightly odd and so shes attracted a lot of negative attention, but as this show has gone on (yeh I know its only been 3 days) her true character has really shone through: sensitive, slightly introverted and totally not confident in herself.
Her views are clear and seems a very girl-next-door...apart from the spells, the aliens and of course the gnomes....but hey! its the naughties. To be honest, she is truely coming across as the best character in this house who is the most balanced and rational whilst still being interesting and slightly cookie. This is why I think, she could win. Mary is the nadia of 2005...minus the sex change. She needs the support of the British people in gaining confidence in herself and to flourish in the world. Okay maybe I'm being a little OTT here, and I know she says she is the type of person who doesn't care about the attitudes of other people but I feel, like most people who say this, it isn't the case. If she stays in the house, please keep her in.... Last edited by hotporridge1 : 29-05-2005 at 20:00. |

Yeah she's not a bad looker even with her x-ray eyes. If she can make it for the next few weeks I think she'll pleasantly surprise us, might even get her kit off for a dare. yumm....

I would like her to win, but as she has acting experience she now stands no chance as every positive thing she does will be interpreted as acting and being fake and every negative thing she does will be interpreted as showing her "true colours". Hope she manages to stick around for a while though as I genuinely don't have any interest in the others at all...yet

Nadia was a fake and so is mary...mary has obviously done her homework so has used the witch gimmick combined with self-esteem issues to win via a sympathy vote...its time to say no to these type of people...winning the show wont suddenly bring enlightenment...
...we should vote for the entertaining ones and that does not include mary... |

All of us watching E4 or Internet streaming night have seen Mary's other side but the C4 audience will only ever see kooky Mary. The hatchet job is already underway las night when producers put lots of Mary's odd moments in and showed her doing the stare alot. Expect alot more of this in the future.
I'm not saying she wont win but the editors dont plan on it happening. |

I'm not saying she wont win but the editors dont plan on it happening. Yes they will probably show her oddest moments but that could go as much in her favour as against. |

Of course she could win this.....she's in the house, the other 12 could also win!
I don't think she will win it though, whenever i watch e4 she just comes across as a bit miserable |

Winners generally need to have some sort of "story" to win. So far I think Mary winning would make the best "story". She does seem to be one of the most popular housemates at the moment, but she does have quite a few people that dislike her as well.

i wouldn't say she's 'entertaining', but she's intriguing to watch. The house is full of slut's, bitches, bimbos and wanabees all of which i've seen before and most of whom i'm already beginning to tire of. I like Mary, she's not quite as extreme and in your face as the other's, but she's not as dull as the BB4 lot, she's at least got something about her. Plus unlike the rest, i believe she's genuinely being herself and i think it'll be interesting to see how she develops and adapts. I think she'll walk though....and when/if she does i probably will too. So i say go girl! stick with it.

She is the buck-toothed girl from Luxembourg of whom Stephen Patrick Morrissey once wrote.
Good health and long life to her. |

I've got £5 on her winning at 18/1. I'm pinning my hopes on her.
