I dont like any of the devices they use to make people miserable or fight... I'd rather watch a show where people were happy.

EH? NO WAY!!!!

She isnt famous enough!!! Did you read the papers a few days ago where Emma from the last BB said that she blew her earnings on clothes and stuff and was now broke. She did more than Makosi has - she caused D R A M A!!!!!!!! and all she earned was 60K - how much do you think Makosi will earn based on her length in the house and experience?

Is it Makosi's fault because she can't seem to think of a way out of this?”

That actually strikes me as a good line to draw. In fact so good I would suggest it should be written into the guidelines for making reality TV.

However, for me this year, this picking on one individual is a step too far, in that its about BB treating one of the differently (and not in a nice way) to try and manipulate the outcome.”

Last year Michelle, a very insecure and jealous girl, had her boyfriend chained to a girl she was jealous of. For me this was the first time BB completely abandoned any pretence of fairness.

I think Makosi is handling it very well. By tellling the others about the task it's giving them more reason to nominate her.

As without_reason so eloquently said, that's what the show is all about - manipulation & mind games.

I would be very surprised to see her crying over the injustice of it all in the DR. I think she's well able to handle anything they can throw at her.

Just came on here in the ad break to start a similar thread. Watching her being made to cry for our supposed pleasure has really annoyed me a great deal.

I think that's going a bit far. The prospect of not being able to access your suitcase for a while is hardly worth crying over, is it?

Well, it wouldn't be for me. I would have taken the princess route and demanded the other girls help me out with clothes.

Hell, if it came to it, I'd ask the guys. I'm sure Kamal has some stuff she could borrow.

It's not just the suitcase though, is it? Big Brother is making her annoy everyone just to try and ensure her survival in the house. She is with a new group of people who now (unfairly) think of her as a rude and obnoxious drama queen.

If she goes in there and behaves in such a way of her own accord, then that's fine. However having pressure put on her like this is simply unpleasant. There has been an increasing amount of bullying on Big Brother over the last couple of years, and I find it extremely unpleasant to watch.

For all Makosi knew she was going to be deprived of her clothes and belongings for the rest of her stay in the house! Channel 4 and Endemol have clearly learnt nothing from last years "Fight Night" debacle... once again they appear unwilling to let things develop naturally, and instead they will be agressively poking at people until they explode.

its game show and she went in willing, her rules are just slightly different to anyone else right now. with her rules she could get out of eviction until the last week, a very high benfit over the others

i dont feel sorry for her at all. out of this she can win the veiwers heart and remain in the house until the end and win this and in a much easier way than the other housemates

She dosent seem to have a problem being rude and obnoxious to people.

Her tears were for herself, no cherry tango for herself, and having to search for her suitcase key.

It was BB4 - and look how popular that was!

If it swaps around on a weekly basis then that's fine, but if she is stuck with this for the rest of her time there then she will definitely pick up the sympathy vote.”

shes loving it, she knows its an advantage over the others

That's really not the issue though. I feel that Big Brother is now pushing bullying as entertainment.

I don't much like this singling out of one person for special treatment. However, it's debatable whether it's an advantage or a disadvantage. The disadvantages are obvious, but it does ensure that Makosi gets most attention.

So can someone explain this to me, are BB going to carry on being EVIL to her for the rest of her stay?

If not, she's going have to spend rest of THIS week and NEXT week (if she doesn't nominated...making it up to them!!)

The problem is BB is also playing mind games with us - we now don't have a clue as to Makosi's real personality. What we see this week could be her true self or it could be the Makosi that has accepted BB's challange in trying to annoy all other housemates - we just don't know. Could crying even be part of the ruse?

Until Saturday morning we really are not going to get a real picture of Makosi so how can we judge?

I would say however that as she has personally chosen to go into Big Brother, a game show that she should know by now thrives on playing mind games, then she has forfit sympathy... it is a gameshow, a contest. If you can't take the pressure you are allowed to leave at any moment. True bullying is wrong but if you enter Big Brother you are in many ways giving permission to be bullied.
