Ive been SO looking forward to BB,
and im not sure if its just me but im SO gutted by the choice of housemates this year.
maybe early days but so far ive found no connection with any of these people in fact i find them annoying to even watch.
3-4 people with a big mouth is fun
7-8 is just too much.
the balance has been lost and i think this BB is going to Bomb sorry.

Just remember the start of BB5 - We all hated them then - but hey what a comeback they achieved from the borefest of bb4 they proved to be!

I wouldn't panic. The house dynamics will change as people go and maybe a couple new housemates could shake things up a bit.....

They've only been in 48 hours. I don't think definite decisions should be made right now.

I think we should know what the series will be like after at least 1 week.

Don't give up just yet.

I find this year's bunch much more human than last year's. I didn't like any of them at the beginning and I hadn't changed my mind at the end either .

I read this title and thought you must be a fan of Bruce Willis!

Agreed.

I started watching BB5 with optimism - but ended up disliking them after 24 hours.

This lot have more character .... so far, I'm enjoying watching these ...

I prefer this year's bunch to last year's by a long way already but it is still early days and my favourite part of BB is a while off yet when the numbers have gone down a bit and everyone doesn't have to talk at once and fight for attention.

I too have no clear favourite, or anyone I really dislike yet..
For me that is unusual, so I am enjoying this liberating feeling... I dont take offence on boards here, I join in with my unbiased opinions..

Enjoy watching and waiting for your fave to become clear :0)

how last year was the best housemate group a BB has had.

A week is a good time to make decisions on how the show is panning out.

Give it time...

People always say they hate it at first... we even found stuff to debate in BB4... like the paint not drying quick enough.....

I don't think BB5 had the best housemate group at all. If anything it was BB2.

But BB6's housemates are much better than BB5's and you get the distinct feeling that they're somehow DEVELOPING. BB5's went in as charicatures and left as charicatures. In such a short space of time we've learnt lots more about the BB6 housemates and are beginning to delve into their personalities.

I'm reserving final judgement for the first couple of weeks. But I just thought I'd post in support of the OP - I find the HMs samey and uninteresting at the moment too - it all seems so heartless and contrived to date. That said, I am hopeful that the series will grow on me.

I think you have summed my feelings up..

In past BB's I have loved or hated on sight.. (bad I know!) but I was very passionate in my views and biased arguments. However this series, I am loving not really caring yet, I think they need time to settle down and to forget they are on TV, then the good times shall roll!!

Thats what it is- this year is different because the housemates are developing.

I couldn't put my finger on it but I knew something was different to last year. This year they seem to be trying to get to know everyone and making contact and are changing how they act and behave towards others.

Last year they went in and more or less chose their buddies on the first night and stuck with them and didn't really change much characteristically (is that a word?! ). For example, Marco went in all screechingand didn't change much in the house along with the others and they walked out more or less the same person. I expect this years bunch will walk out very differently having changed a lot in the house- especially the younger one who will probably learn a lot about the experience and learn more about themselves.

I am enjoying this year so far, have become hooked already.

I was totally addicted to BB3 and found it hard to go to sleep at night, but BB4 I didn't even watch after a week. BB5 I watched the C4 highlights but not E4, everyone too over the top.

This year they are actually interesting me again, thank goodness after two years where it just didn't cut it as far as I was concerned.

A couple of days isn't really enough to judge as it only really gets going later on

LOL I thought that too.
OT I haven't warmed to anyone yet, but I only got into past series about a week or so in. Wouldn't give up quite yet.

If you're such a die hard BB fan you would know that it takes a while to get to know the new hms and settle down.

I wouldn't say I really like anyone yet (too early, naturally), but I think they could prove to be a pretty entertaining bunch. They all seem more flamboyant, up their own arses and louder than ever, and [in my opinion] that can make good viewing.

I'd like to know more about Mary. Wish she'd open up a little.
