A bit off topic I suppose, but didn't know where else to fit this!
I signed up to OneTel on the doorstep sometime ago, and moved my service from Homecall. I have the paper work i signed, DD form and such, but have no reference numbers from them.
I have recieved no paper work, and had a telephone call from a lady of Asian persuasion not long after to confirm that I wanted to move providers etc. I was offered billing via e-mail, which i thought would be useful, so i accepted and took almost 20 minutes to get her to understand my relatively simple e-mail address.
I have never received anything from the company via e-mail or post, but they are dutifully taking varying amounts from my account each month.
I have tried to complain online about this, but simply got a reply back saying they could not deal with me unless i had a reference number or something to prove my identity!!
My question is this - should I cancel my DD, to try to force them to contact me, or sign up with another provider in order to get rid of them?
If anyone has other suggestions, then I am all ears, as I am less than impressed with being treated so shoddily!
