To those who can't sign up for C4 streaming, don't worry yourselves, it's pretty awful. Quality (which they claim is excellent) is very poor, with regular freezes and audio hiccups (besides the already irritating silences imposed). They clearly don't have enough bandwidth to make the service work properly.

I looked this morning and it still says "Coming Soon". The trouble is, so is Christmas. I am seriously beginning to wonder if this streaming will ever be available and if it does, it will not be anytime soon.
Do you think this could all be a ploy to get us to sign up for the Broadband Plus service, in the hope that many forget to cancel it and get charged?

very possibly .... but ill give them the benifit of the doubt and if its not on by monday (that will be a week into my free trial) i,ll cancel it ... because any later and it wont be worth having a free trial and i know that many joined up just for the big brother streaming
Is it still not working yet? This is ridiculous now. If it's still not working by the time I get home I'll be giving them a piece of my mind.

Apperently there have been a few problems getting the streaming working properly and are now saying it should be active as of tomorrow. Bit of info I found out.

They told me exactly the same thing yesterday. So if it isn't fixed by tomorrow forget it until at least Monday or Tuesday cos their web staff don't work weekends.
What a joke. They'd better make the Windows Media stream available else I'll be round to Swansea personally with a broken bottle.
Can you believe on the BB profiles page on ntlworld.com they have a graphic with "Watch Big Brother live streaming on Broadband Plus. Sign up now!" Now if that isn't misleading I don't know what is.

Signed up for the free 14 day Real Plus trial and have to say there stream is bang on. Decent quality, almost no stutters and freezes. Wish I'd never bothered with that poor excuse from C4. I stupidly assumed their stream would be superior 
My apologies if someone has already posted this, but NTL's stream is now working. I'm watching it (WMP) no problems.

Yep, I'm getting further now, as far as a player window which gives error "specified protocol is unknown" - well at least it's WMP! I think I need to upgrade to v10. Hopefully I can surmount this error.

I've got WMP 10 and I also signed up on the NTL website but getting nothing at all when I click on any of the icons. I've turned off the Popup blocker as well. Can anyone else help out if it's a settings thing or what?
So does anyone know how to find out the address that is used? Turns out I have WMP v8 so in lieu of upgrading, could I use MPC or VLC or some other TLA program? Mmm, tha's a dodgy question, never mind

My favourite player is VLC. However, I can't even get the streaming to work on WMP 10 never mind anything else.
Yippie it is working. Now is there a way I can get this in my normal media player, so I can keep the streaming on top. I can't see that option available in the window that has popped up.

Yes, Right clcik on the stream, select properties and then copy the location URL and then paste it the open URL option in media player, or in start menu -> RUN.
