Hi all. My k500i recently decided out of the blue to stop charging. So, being under warranty, i sent it back to 02, for them to faff around for 2 weeks and not tell me that it was back in.
They have returned it to me, un repaired, claiming there is water damage. Its never been near water, but anyway, thats not the point, the 2 cables with water damage, are nowhere near the bottom of the phone, so surely have no effect on the charging? as i know this is not causing the charging problem, because the phone charging still very slightly works with both covers off the phone.
Anyway, I'll show you the picture i have recieved from 02 showing water damage.
Could that water damage, be preventing the phone from functioning?

well if it has not been no where near water then go back and agrue your point, i think they are making lame excuses, tell em to either fix it or refund you.

The problem im having, is its 30 miles away... And i have argued to high heaven with them on the phone, i have that picture, which looks convincing, but lame excuses has come up in several cases, this is axactly why i insured my new phone, so i can claim instead of this hassle.

well is there a Sony ericsson service centre near by? they will sort it for you?

Not a clue, do you know of anywhere i can check this?

i think it should be on one of the papers that came with the phone, where do u live? al take a look see?

i have asked on www.esato.com/board about the service centre, you should go there and register, there a Sony ericsson dedicated website and its really good.
