~Just noticed that Davina didn't give out the text numbers, and that the C4 website has no Irish voting lines this year!

I noticed this too, voting numbers will be low anyway as they have announced nominations a day later than usual

it's a conspiracy to get Mary out and part of Endemol's cunning plan to take over the world

Do you vote to keep them in or kick them out .... ?

There is no info anywhere and the rules are always changing!

conspiracy to get Mary out - didn't you notice the 'poor Mary' comment

Craig might have been forgiven for lying to the producers to get in but bragging about it on air...

Ok so Ireland can't vote to evict Craig to save the Irish girl, I know the girl lives in London now, but there are many thousands of Irish viewers who would want to help her out.

I want to vote Craig out, but im not phoning or red-buttoning....I wanna text!

Yeah, I always vote by text, and they must get loads of people voting by text so I don't see why they've got rid of it?

I noticed they have new phone numbers this year (because I'm sad like that). Maybe the two things are related? (also on a side note, its 10p more to vote this year - 35p)

Edit - Check this link out - http://www.channel4.com/bigbrother/f...ms_voting.html
There is a section for text voting, and it is definately for this years show as it says phone votes are 35p. I didn't realise you could get reverse charge texts for 35p anyway?

Can't seem to find a text voting number anywhere and when looking at how to vote on big brother site only mentions interactive and telephone voting.

Shot themselves in foot if they have got rid of text voting, i'm not ringing from mobile phone to vote as god knows how much they would charge, i can't use landline phone mum wouldn't be too impressed with me running her bill up and haven't got interactive to vote through that.

Am sure there will be a lot of people in the same boat as me (especially the younger voters that are still at school or whatever.)

I think it's good that there is no text voting this year as it might skew the demographics away from the 'younger' voter. AFAIK you can text vote on PAYG phones, but aren't premium rate numbers blocked?
It's always been a call to customer services to get premium rate calls activated on my mobiles in the past.

This topic has already been discussed:

"Viewers can simply send a text message with the word vote, followed by the name of the contestant they want to vote out, to the new Big Brother shortcode *****. They will then receive a message confirming their vote has been registered.
Text voting costs 35p plus service providers usual text message rate"

Where's that ? Can't see it and went through a couple of pages before posting this thread. Can't see anything on big brother official site about it either.

Yep, it does work. Why didn't Davina tell us this on the show?

Yes, you can vote by text this year. However, for some reason Channel 4 are being very secreative about the number (why?) and Digital Spy won't let us publish the number.

Have a look around the forum - the number is there if you can find it!
