When Mary entered the house I found her very endearing, interesting and different, and she was my favourite housemate up until this evening's show and the aftermath of the nomination announcements that I've been watching.

On last night's show she seemed so fun and excited, but the day after she just seems bitter and bitchy. People talk about Craig being the biggest bitch, but in actuality Mary out-does him. She bitches about people behind their backs (with Craig and his girls, no less) *and* to their faces. She continually describes herself as an "intelligent" person, but whenever she gets into arguments (with people whom I'd consider somewhat dim - see: Anthony and Saskia) she comes out worse than the person she is confronting, or who has confronted her.

Saskia nailed her big time in that argument, don't deny it. And now Mary's just sulking around, bitching about people being "fake" or "playing up to cameras" or "not being themselves." She's the one who claimed she was from Atlantis in her audition and then waltzed into the house wearing a witch get-up (which I enjoyed - just to hear her bitching about people being fake brought that to mind).

And just now, after they were all bitching about people being fake and dishonest, Anthony wanders into the room and she immediately confronts him, calling him fake and saying he's putting on a show, and Anthony actually said it best, I thought. "Why don't you just stop analysing things and enjoy yourself?" Since her birthday she's just been moping around and being a spoil-sport, really.

So yeah, Craig'll probably get voted out, but Mary's hardly any more "quality TV" than he is. She just seems determined to suck the fun out of everything by moping around, bitching and not smiling. Ever.

Besides, she'll probably end up walking if she stays, so it'd be unfair to boot someone out when the person they're up against will most likely not bother going on anyway.

But yeah. There's my post-midnight rant on how I think Mary's gone down the crapper. I really hope she makes a drastic turn around if she does stay, cause otherwise it would have been a waste of a potentially interesting character in Craig (OH WAIT BUT HE WAS MEAN IN HIS AUDITION TAPE BURN THE WITCH BURN THE WITCH! - ohwait >_>).

Wow. I can't believe I bothered to write so much. Anyway, your thoughts?

I can put up with Craig for another week if it means she goes.

I wish she was packing right now, but I'm still angry at stupid mare Mikosa for not choosing Ant, Sam or Max.

Mary thinks she is being 'perceptive' by going around accusing everyone of being fakers.

The trouble is she is wrong, and is just pissing everyone off.

It kind of pisses me off that Craig - someone who obviously cares about not being accepted and being the first one to possibly be evicted - is probably just going to lose to some moody, miserable, pseudo-goth (who I think would quite happily just walk out the back door at any minute) just because she claims to be a witch and wandered in with a broomstick in hand.

Her mysticisms have gotten old already. Sorry, Mary. Get happy, or get out.

Yeh I agree with Sleepwalker completely. I was never a fan of hers from the beginning but I did feel she might bring some entertainment into the house. I love Saskia after that argument last night.

What annoyed me though was how Mary kept going on about how "aggressive" Saskia was being towards her. Why was that? Because Saskia was shouting? Did anyone notice the way Mary was talking through gritted teeth to both Saskia AND Roberto? Always using the "aggressive" issue to gain sympathy and manipulate the thoughts of both the viewer and fellow housemates. To me, shes just a big hypocrite.

What's annoying me about Mary is her repetition. Actually this applies to a lot of the housemates, but I've noticed it particularly with Mary.

She'll use certain cliches or phrases over and over again in an argument and it ends up making her sound stupid:

"...certain people in this house are consciously aware of blah blah..."
"...certain people in this house cannot grasp certain mental concepts"
"...they don't have the intellect..."

I've lost count of the amount of times she repeats herself.

But.....I still want her to win (or atleast survive eviction in the first week!)

I see there's another thread complaining about certain housemate's constant use of annoying phrases ... so at the end of the day I forgive Mary for her repetition, ya know wha' I mean?

err. maybe because bb told makosi that sam was exempt?

and maybe because anthony has done nothing of any note at all in the house apart from ooze and smarm?

and maybe because makosi figured max would be more popular than craig or mary.

Eh. I think Craig still has a *bit* of a chance. I mean, all day yesterday Mary just moped around bitching and being miserable. Don't think I saw her smile once. And then watching the nomination aftermath, it's obvious that she's just a bitter and negative person. The way she makes snap judgements and assumptions on people and then confronts them about it in an idiotic manner is just pathetic. Like how she instantly attacked Anthony for being "fake" when he hasn't exactly done anything to her to warrant and attack.

I think tonight's show could stitch Mary up good. And I think if she keeps acting like this until Friday (considering she actually stays until Friday) she could earn a few more votes from the pre-eviction show, too.

So yeah. I think Mary will come off worse than Craig in tonight's show. Or we can only hope.

If Mary carries on this way, then she will be going. i think it would be really unfair to Craig to lose out to Mary; especially when she has bleated on several times previously about how she wants to go anyway!

I really wish that Makosi has selected Maxwell or Antony for nomination. The chances of them going would be very slim, but it would have just shaken them up a bit. It would have been interesting to see how they'd react and try to endear themselves to the public!

Just vote Mary.

There is plenty of time for Craig to get evicted, Mary on the other hand could be a slow builder if not kicked out now.

I would rather see Mary go first, trouble is I think it will be Craig. I like neither of them really, but Mary needs to go first. If she survives the eviction, she will be intolerable and think the public love her Can we bear that

Are you saying that Max's popularity with the voters made Makosi reluctant to nominate him, in case they turned on her?

I thought that she should have nominated Max and Anthony, she would have instantly eliminated some strong competition, but there you go... she's no Victor in the scheming sense.


Back on Topic, I loved Mary to begin with but now she makes my skin crawl... evict the witch
