derek is a "command" figure, he said it himself, when he boasted he has nearly always been a manager in the real world. (one who it seems to me has hit a ceiling in life and is on big brother to try and launch a career in the media)

derek can be read like a book, and there is no way he is innocent to the big brother format. no way.

It's just possible that he misinterpreted when someone said to him

"you should go on big brother"

will he be out by the time the tories have their leadership contest? (who wins? MPs decide... )

It's quite inconceivable that a sophisticated political type like Derek didn't know exactly what he was getting himself into. Probably had his researchers watching hours of BB footage to get the lowdown on the show. Does he seriously expect us to believe that someone who wrote speeches for Thatch would enter a reality show without having his own gameplan worked out + a carefully created persona to appeal to the voting public - just like all the others contestants in fact!

Fantasitc Mary keep at it, at least you don't sneek into a bed with someone and whisper as Makosi and Kemal do.
