In your opinion. I think he's funny. He's a cockney wide boy. What do you expect. I think alot of what he says he doesn't actually mean. It's just his nature.

Who do you like Lexus?

Hey, hold on ... lay off Max ... he's a good bloke ...

Nah ... just kidding ... he's an asswipe ... I can't wait till he gets shunted & BOO-ed ... d'you all remember all the handwringing nonsense about boo-ing last year? ... boy, that was funny ... FMs getting righteous about Vic's & Michelle's & Jason's sensibilities ... as if they had any ... ANYWAY, what I'm saying is ... no quarter for Maxwell when he's out on his ass ... BOO! ...

Hopefully he'll do that stoopid 'hand cocked behind the ear' gesture ... so beloved of crap footballers ... who can only score once in ten games ... & when he does, someone will shoot him ...

If you were watching the live feed recently you would seen he was being quite self-deprecating regarding his luck with the ladies.

As for being self obsessed – I would have thought that a prerequisite for a BB contestant?

As a woman I can't stand men like Maxwell - especially someone who calls himself a 'sex pest' and is proud of it. On one of the other threads, someone said that that's how 'most men' are nowadays. Boy... am I glad my partner isn't like that!!

I reckon it was today's wearing jeans inside-out that tipped the OP over the edge. Must admit I'm still furious.

I think some of you should look beyond the superficial stereotype, and give the guy a chance. If you bother to look a little deeper, I think you might spot somebody who is quite sensitive, warm and funny.

Do I sense a bit of jealousy towards maxwell here?...he is warm...affectionate...funny...and above all else he is honest...just what kind of people do you want in big brother?...do you want the nicer than nice fence sitters like mary and vanessa or do you want the larger than life salt of the earth types like maxwell and anthony?

...maxwell is the best housemate in there and it just so happens that he is also a thoroughly decent chap who you will find it hard to hold a grudge against for any decent amount of time...

He can stay for now, he's obscene and vile but I look forward to future confrontations between he and Makosi.

Not sure you'll get that many actually. Makosi and Maxwell now seem to be getting on OK, and other HMs will probably like him more as time goes on.

Max is okay by me,but i think he may struggle with certain sections of the female vote.

Mr Blonde always backs a loser which is a shame because he did seem genuinely distraught when Jason didn't win last year!

It took me a while to recover from jason losing to the malignant bore that is nadia...when jade lost big brother 3 i skipped the most of big brother 4 in protest...

to pick up on an earlier thread of Maxwell forgetting Meccano's name..... He's probably not racist or ignorant, but the fact that he can't be bothered to remember one of his housemates names after 6 days tells you something.
What's MORE revealing about his personality is that he laughs about it. Cockyness and arrogance is off the scale and for that reason he needs to be out.

I agree with your overall point in this thread but, please tell me that "Meccano" was a deliberate attempt at irony?

As much as you may hate maxwell for his different personality you cant argue with the fact that he is one of the most entertaining housemates...do you want big brother 4 again?...at least 10 other housemates have to leave before him...keep max in for entertainment value if nothing else...

I never thought I wouldhave a good word to say for Maxwell but I do. He did not ostracise Mary as a lot of the other hms did. He started talking to her and making her laugh. They are complete opposites but they make each other laugh. She said something to him, and he said thats because you love me grinning ear to ear.

I'm not a big fan of Maxwell. He has a short fuse and the way he was so easily wound up by Kemal on tonights C4 highlight show made me think he was gonna ballistic! I wonder if people who had a a go at Victor and Jason last year for threatening behaviour will make the same comments about the Gooner?

I am nothing like Maxwell. I am very reserved and quiet in group situations.

However, I think I would be tempted to go ballistic at that drama queen Kemal. True, we didn't see the whole scene, but the fuss he caused over a bowl of salad and rice would probably have led quiet old me going off on one at him. as well.

Kemal seems the type of person who seems quite capable of dishing it out, but can't listen to any criticism thrown at him.

Kemal is an attention seeeking, Nadia copier who thinks that by being loud and flamboyant, he will follow in Nadia's footsteps.

Can someone please explain what is funny about this 'joke'.

All I heard when he said this was an inarticulate geezer who has delusions of adequacy hurling a playground insult.

Which, along with shouting and swearing at anyone who has the effrontery to challenge him, is all I have seen him do in the last 7 days.

Like Victor last year all his 'lines' are pre-cooked.
