He is only entertaining" due to the editing. If there was fair editing he wouldnt get a look in. This week has been about Lesley and Sam, yet if you dont have free view you would not have any inkling of whats going on. Wonder who he blew at endemol to get so much screen time

phonicBrian...lesley has been great this week i cannot argue with that she is easily in the top two most entertaining housemates...but overall max has had so many good moments that you just cant ignore him...its a bit like when jade was there...she eclipsed all the rest and she was the only one people wanted to watch and talk about...

Max has been the star of week one and that is undeniable...he is not a chav he is just a working class football fan there is clearly a difference...if he is evicted within the next month then i will be absolutely stunned...put your money on him while you can still get good odds...this guy is in for the long haul...

Thing is with Maxwell, you know he's not going to grow much as a person beyond what he is already. I don't think he's got an original bone in his body.

What was really interesting was that spat with Kemal in the bedroom tonight. For some reason, the Cockney Geeza seems to be *very* bothered by Kemal's fondness for female clothes and camp ways. I think it's hitting a raw nerve in Geeza. Perhaps he has secret desires to don a dress and call himself "Zandra" or something.

I also wish he'd stop laying the "Lahndan acksint" on so fick. It's so phoney. He's just a boring lad with nothing much to say but has to be the loudest saying it.

I reckon he's going to lash out at someone. A lot of simmering anger there, innit?

He may be in it for the long haul but only because they won't nominate him as he is the, and i use this term very loosely, 'funny' one. But as soon as the chance come for him to be evicted he will be out. He will not win this show i can guarantee you that. How you can say he is the star of week one is beyond me as that title clearly goes to Makosi.

Like Victor last year all his 'lines' are pre-cooked.

Yeah I didn't get that haircut joke either.. what did he mean??

What's funny about the Afro hairstyle? Sure, it hasn't been in vogue in a while, but big hair is making a comeback, as Maxwell's bad attempt at toiletbrush hair will bear witness.

An afro can look good but on makosi it looked like she was wearing a wig...max obviously spotted this and decided some observational comedy was in order...i bet the others were gagging to say something as well...

Sorry, that dig at her hair had unsavoury undertones which I think we all noted.

WHAT!...Maxwell is the only contestant this year who is geniunely funny.I think he's up there with Brian and Jason as the funniest contestants ever.I was cracking up when he was taking the piss out of Mary by trying to psychologically read the pictures on the wall.

I didn't get that at all. It's a pretty odd thing to say as well, there was nothing noticably 'odd' about her hair, unless you have a general problem with the afro carribean hairtype.

His thinning hair on the other hand shouldn't be commented on I guess?

Well yeah, if it's in bad taste or has a particularly offensive undertone.

If you can clarify what's funny about Makosi's hair though maybe I'll be able to see the funny side - can you explain the joke?

I wish people would stop going on about Max(un)well being a "chav" when he is clearly a "lad", both types are wanky, but some lads actually have jobs.

Also I wish people would stop using the haircut joke as an example of his "humour". Maxwell has actually said many fairly funny things in the house, but that wasn't one of them. (I actually posted an sarcastic comment about how the haircut joke was so razor-sharp I was astonished it didn't cut off Makosi's hair there and then -and someone actually praised my defence of Maxwell! If those are his fans, God help him)

And yes he does have homophobic, sexist and racist undertones which are bound to surface in an indefensible way pretty soon, probably when Kemal tries to kiss him....

Correct-a-mundo...maxwell does not look like a chav he does not talk like a chav and he does not behave like a chav...he does not wear a baseball cap...he does not bear a gold medallion and he does not tuck his trousers into his socks...the housemate who is most chav-like is actually science...
