Finding it hard to get into

I am really finding it hard to get into BB this year for some reason. I've been watching it, but not one of the 'inmates' in there hold any charisma at all for me to remain watching. I've watched BB right from the very first one and have always managed to 'get into it' after the first few days, not this time.........maybe it's all the arguements they are having, no-one seems to be having any fun at the moment.
In the words of Black-eyed peas, 'Where is the love'

Does anyone else feel like this?

It`s hard to find anyone among them to like. But I do still watch it because their giant egos and bullsh*te keep me amused!

It seems to be a house full of spice girls, all up their own backsides. Quite a few Geri's in there I see.

I agree, when i actually do find someone i like, they do something to make me dislike them!

I agree with you. In fact, I turned it off last night as it was so incredibly dull without any fighting and arguing.

Jeez, have I become so sensitised to all this violence already that I need a fix every day?

Anyway, I know exactly what you mean - it's been difficult to warm to any particular person(s). I can only hope that it's early days and I'll change my mind.

They've put in too many strong personalities this year to try and add some shock value, but it doesn't seem to be working. They need to have half and half. The only one not arguing as far as I can see is Vanessa. I think she really is in there for some fun and the experience, unlike the others, who by the look of it are all in there to gain notoriety and a fast buck.

There is no boring people. There is no mad-to-crazy balance.

The problem with BB is that it is a contest as well as a TV show, and as there has been 5 previous shows as well as the foreign BB's people have adapted and know how to play the game.
I think that is self evident in BB6 the HM are just following previous patterns to victory.

Yeah I see what you mean chas.
I guess we'll look back on this years BB as 'BB6 The Ego's'.

I couldn't agree more, Holly. I'm forcing myself to watch the live streaming because I keep hoping that suddenly it will "gel," but so far, I can't get into the spirit of it.

And it's not just because there is no one in the house I like. The same happened with last year's edition and BB 3 -- didn't like anyone in the house, but I heartily enjoyed it anyway.

This year...nothing, nada, zip. But I'm not giving up yet. Hope springs eternal, right?

Lets hope so Maggie.
Actually last night I even switched over to watch celeb love island halfway through BB but don't tell no-one right.

Life would be so boring without a few guilty secrets.

I also think that there are too many HMs to keep up.Plus they edit how they want

Thinking about it, it will probably get better when a few of them have gone.

I think the constant bitching gets boring really, really quick. I don't want to watch a bunch of school kids sit around stabbing each other in the back, having tantrums and running off to the corner to cry. I want to see decent conversations and the HMs having a laugh.

Any arguments are a hell of a lot more effective and interesting if some of the HM actually get on to start with.

Is it just me, or do most the contestants seem like overgrown children this year? Or am I just getting too old for BB?

We did that too as my missus wanted to watch Paul Danan go loco.

All the fighting this year is a massive switch off for me. I want to see some fun and laughs which as yet we haven't had. I want to see some real conversations and proper relationships forming, which as yet we haven't had.

I am hoping it is going to settle down into a better pattern as all this squabbling is really doing my head in. Its like being at school.

pmsl maybe they should shove him in the bb house along with the rest of the nutters, give them all dummies and tell them to get back in their prams.

My boyfriend has been saying the same, that he can't get into it. Of course the fiery personalities are interesting, and I prefer the arguing to them sitting around doing nothing (remember the year Steph was in it- eep).

But we need a couple of people at least that we can relate to and champion. Occasionally they do show a human side and you think they are Ok and then they go mental again.

The women in particular are very disappointing. Did we really need that many big busted bimbos with nothing to say for themselves? I really wanted to like Sam but calling yourself intelligent and then spending the entire time simpering behind your hair and strutting round in a bikini is just pathetic. Lesley makes Michelle from last year look like the height of classiness.

There are more different personality types than chavs who like pop music. What is the point of Anthony? He is dull, dull, dull!

You know something's wrong when the only person you can relate to is a foxhunting Tory.

Cornchips, I think you've hit the nail on the head there. That's the problem, there are no decent relationships forming at all. It's like a constant battleground.
Although saying that, they seem to be having a bit of fun now in the garden with a waterfight, but give it 5 minutes before someone kicks off that it's ruining their sunbathing or the water's too cold etc

The bitching and arguing would have more of an effect on me if it had been a couple or more weeks in and relationships and cliques had been more cemented, as much as you can in that situation anyway. As it stands it is just boring to me at the moment, too many strong personalities as some have said, no weaker quieter ones to add a mix and I do not warm to any of them. By this time last year which I also wasn't keen on I had warmed to Dan and Victor and Emma (for very different reasons of course cos they were so different) it didn't last long though apart from Dan but it still happened, I was still watching and interested hoping those people would not get evicted too early. I honestly don't give a monkeys who goes and who stays at the moment this year. I'm hoping it will improve as the days go by but I'm not holding my breath.

100% agree. I hate Tories and I hate fox hunting.

They're all loathesome people in there.
