Why doesn't Endemol do an internet-only feed?

Anybody here knows?

Create an internet-only feed where swearing and nudity is allowed 24/7.

No more sound dips, no more views of the garden.

Evrybody subscribing will be over 18 using a credit card and the feed will not have to comply with Ofcom's tv regulations.

The only sound dips would be due to possible defamation.

I mean we want to give them the money for something like this, they want our money, so don't they do it?

Its a good idea. Much like the australian BB feed (although thats free, and age verification is just a warning on the page )

Unfortunatley Endemol dont "do" good ideas.

And there would still be the sound dips for the "Legal reasons" regarding Libel and the sound cuts to keep things for the primetime show only.

It would also require more infrastructure, and a new editing team to edit the raw live footage for internet 18+ feed

And lets face it they cant even get the regular live stream workign properly over the internet

They used to, back in BB1, and maybe 2 as well, the web feed was completely uncensored... and free! BB1 just had one feed, but I think BB2 had about three different options. Those were the days.

No it wouldn't, just one more person!

They already have someone dipping the sound in the live feed when swearing, nudity and defamation comes up.

Just employ an extra 1 person to do the same to the live feed for a special 18+ online feed, but just for defamation.

I mean one simple move like this would probably boost their profits by double what they get from voting, it would very popular. Why don't they do it, why?

I loved those days. We had two feeds plus highlights feeds as well all on the red button. Now everything is far more controlled by producers and we only see what they want us to see and even then many conversations are censored.

'Well, you know when you go into a restaurant, and you give the waiter a tip, well, the money Endemol save by having just one live feed is like that. They collect all those 'tips' and at the end of the year have a nice party with lots of smokes and bubbly for the Endemol producers. Got to keep the producers happy'.

On last years BBLB they showed the editing TEAM that prepared the live feed. It was a team of people not just "somone"

I would imagine that preparing a new feed under different rules would require another team to do that. Plus extra infrastructure to stream the footage to the subscrubers of the special 18+ feed.

This could all be done, but obviously by the lack of such a stream ch4 are not prepared to do it.

If you feel you have the technical expertise to get this set this up with just "one extra person"
Maybe you should contact the production team and send them a copy of your plans detailing specific technical solutions for provisioning, editing and publishing a seperate live stream for 18+ subscribers.

You might want to also send them details of your financial study that shows that this move would double thier profits.

The question I was asking is why Endemol doesn't do an 18+ internet feed. Now are you seriously telling me that the reason they don't do it is because it wouldn't be financially profitable??????????????

The question you asked was why didnt they just employ one extra preson and make it happen "just like that"

It would seem obvious that the issue is rather more complicated that your simplistic understanding of the situation.

I dont usually reply to people who add more than 10 question marks at the end of sentance but im going to make an exception just this once.

I didnt seriously tell you anything of the kind.

However i would be interested in seeing your finaincial forecatst you worked out in order to predict somthing in the region of double the profits..

If its so simple, then your wasting your time on this forum, call channel4 and tell them you have a plan to double thier profits
