reasons why bigbrother 6 is NOT staged

Too many staff- Endemol employ lots of extra staff when big brother is on, from cooks to cleaners to cameramen etc. They are always bumping into each other and sometimes are allowed access into the production area. If bigbrother was staged it would have been leaked from the first night

Its live and the contestants are wannabes- most of the contestants are wannabe celebs, they have appeared on various other shows and lesley has been a faceparty member since 2001. Now unless MI6 placed them all as sleeper cells for 5 years i highly doubt endemol would have chosen these 13 people to be thier "actors"

Why would they need to stage?- theres no valid reason for them to stage bigbrother. We all know they do manipulate certain things but to say these people are goign to be acting 24hours a day for 3 months is ridiculous. Even when us members of the public go on holiday with friends we know that sparks will fly.

erm I was going to say more but this forum is addictive and im being lazy at work so im going off now before my boss berates me.

I agree with all of this - I don't think it is staged, however - something is definitely giong on that we don't know about.
I love all the twists so I will just wait with baited breath to find out what happens next!

I wonder what they are doing with the loft room - any goss?

The prize on BBLB is a chance to "fill the housemates shoes"

you have to be a "look-a-like" to enter

The BB logo looks like the 1 image split into 2....

I dunno, put members of the public in the loft???

Its a longshot, but there has to be a link with the logo...

A few points:

The Logo: I have given this some thought and reckon that this year may be split personality/ scitzophrenic big brother. BB is nice/ not nice, gives hot water/ gives cold water- i think as well BB is very lenient and will turn at any minute only to go back to being lienient again. This would suggest the "axiety" of the person in the clips

The "out there" theory. Max having worked for endomol before/ marys ring/ makosi being the first to the diary room. Wouldnt a mega twist be for davina to tell us next week that yes they are all actors and that we get to vote standbys into the house who do not know this and completely play with their minds- i dont think this has much plausability, but as an out there theory it might- BB might not just be playing games with the HMs but also the viewers.

The Loft- Might this be converted for the evictee to enter tonight and spy on the housemates?

If these were just actors in a script then they'd all be up for awards.

How many times have we heard the director's say 'Cut - can we just run through that one again, but with more emotion'.

Also If I were Vanessa's agent I'd be onto the script writer like a shot.

Mind you - it could be one explanation for all those times when the sound is cut!!!! Hmmm I wonder.

I doubt they would use the bedsit idea again.

The MH's may be expecting it anyways.

The thing with the bedsit was that the HM's didn't know of it's existence beforehand. Whereas the loft is plainly obvious.

Perhaps their converting it into a Sin Bin for next week where perhaps the unlucky contestant has to live in it for the week.

I.e like the BB3 rich house - poor house concept again

Something smells fishy - there's too many pussies in the house, and I'm not talking about the girls

The BBLB prize for lookalikes is to go to 'special events' like birthdays etc, instead of the housemates, its nothing to do with the house. As for a fully staged BB, no way, the logistics are just too huge, and as someone said, all the papers would pay a mint for just one person to come out and admit it (unless all the papers are in on it as well, and the other TV stations, wait a minute, maybe everyone is in on it except me...Oh my god, am I on the Dalton Show?!?!?!)

Schizophrenia has nothing to do with having a "split personality" or multiple personalities . I could rant more but I'm too hungover.

GOD, not that old chestnut again!

It's just like every bloke you've ever met, had a trial for a football club.

There's already been a show like this - forget it's name. It's set in a flat where some of the people are actors and others, who don't realise this, are just members of the public.

The producers would direct the actors and give them secret instructions to stir things up.

It was a clever idea but I think it was stuck on Channel 5 late night so no-one saw it.

Mandark, are you thinking of Joe Shmoe, it was like BB but all but one were actors and they just played with this poor guy, didn't actually see much of it, but sounds like a good idea, feel sorry for the Shmoe, though.

at least 1 person in every thread will mention the fact they "Know someone" involved.

The funniest thing is,because the production cast is so massive for big brother, anyone living withing theM25 probably knows someone involved.

I think you're thinking of bedsit.com. It had 6 people who were supposed to be part of a reality show, but 3 of them were actors. It still took the other 3 a week or so to work out they were being set up.

The Mole? - but then the contestants knew that there was one "mole" intent on failing challenges and they had to work out who it was.

Your producer mate needs to sort out the selective editing on last nights lowlights show. It was a complete farce leaving out all the good bits, WTF is going on? And while your at it get evil and give them a task, evil BB my arse.

You are right, people like to believe it is all a fix when: -

-Their favourite housemate is evicted.
-Their hated housemate is popular.

Bedsitcom was good, the one actor played the part of this extremely dim bloke, it was classic when he finally revealed he was an actor, the others just couldn't believe how his personality and voice/accent suddenly changed.

Would be very intersting if Big Brother did a similar thing this year...

And they way he could just swap from one to the other. When he was rumbled, the 'real' flatmates found it spooky and asked him to stay in character 'cos they couldn't believe the real him was him

It is not staged, for all the reasons Austo gives. But I do think that some of the housemates are "staging" arguements for the sake of telly.

I'm certain it's not ALL staged - that would be ludicrous. However I'm sure that some contestants, if not all, used contacts in Endemol to get on the show and I'm pretty sure the producers can direct the contestants to spice it up a bit if it looks like getting dull ...
