Mary makes a big thing about being honest. However, how often are any of us really honest in our day to day lives?

There are people I work with who I don't particularly like, but I would never dream of going up to them and saying "god you are annoying" or the like.

there is a difference between being honest to the point of being true to yourself and not two-faced, but there is also the point of being honest to just be confrontational and create problems.

Mary makes a big thing about being honest - however she is just causing trouble for causing trouble's sake. Its part of her game plan I think.

Yes...sometimes brutal honesty is needed e.g. in the case of maxwell saing makosi needed a haircut...but the rest of the time you should use polite honesty i.e. saying what you think but in a nice way...

...When mary said to saskia 'i dont like you' it was vicious and smacked of bullying...

Also, Its alright telling someone what you think of them - however, maybe they don't really give a toss about what you think of them. What gives you the right to force your views of them onto them?

My views on Marys obsession here:

Also using "honesty" as an excuse to constantly get at somone, is a pretty obvious tactic

I agree with everything you said there. I think her classic tactic was on entering the house and then deciding she had made the wrong decision and threatening to leave. A great way of making yourself the centre of attention for the night. She's no less attention seeking or fake than any of the others.
