I always find the group tasks a bit of a disappointment and was wondering if the enlightened hoardes on DS:BB could come up with some suggestions.
Currently I find the tasks are one dimensional (i.e. if you succeed in getting over an obstacle course then you get grub money, so it's all ok). On the superficial level that's how it is in the real world - if you can ignore the bigger issues. We can't, so why can the housemates?
So, an idea to get the ball rolling: An Ecology Task. I'm not sure what it would entail, perhaps water rationing among other things. No firm ideas yet on how it could be scored/punished... but I'm sure you guys can come up with enough inventive suggestions to make BB consider it.
Or how about an Asylum Task. Send someone into the house who doesn't speak any of the languages that the housemates speak. Don't give the housemates any extra food and leave it up to them to decide how to cope. Extending this suggestion, the passing of the week's (diversionary) task is then based entirely on whether the asylum seeker passes the task.
There must be some really good task ideas out there that will elevate BB discussion from the depths of "xyz to win", so what are they?
