Orrrrr - just to be contentious - it could be 'Here, Here' ... meaning 'your opinion is held here too'!

And actually, golly gosh, I think it is that.

Hooray for Derek. He's all the things his detractors say he is - hence a brilliant HouseMate!!

"extreme poverty"?

Are you sure? Can you describe it?

I was thinking that, too, but I looked it up and it was the other. Maybe the MPs don't know which it is though!

I want to like him, but every time he looks down on the others and insults their intellect, I dislike him. Even if he is more intelligent, pointing it out all the time is completely classless and unnecessary.

Ahh ... well then I defer to your googling or whatever you did

And you think Derek was to blame for this?

I'm an admirer of Margaret Thatcher but I'm judging Derek on his behaviour in the house. He doesn't seem very different to the others .... they are all pretty inadequate in varying degrees of large doses.

Derek is cool, he is much more able to play the game than most of the other HM's with the exception of Makosi and possibly Mary (if she survives). He is actually witty too, but you have to listen more carefully to him to appreciate it - he is playing a very good game!

Maggie was pure class too!

So telling Science, Mary and Makosi who he thinks voted for everyone else isn't discussing nominations?

I think you'll find out his political views after he's left and he's on every chat show going.

Wrong.

He's a vile, suckup stirrer, every bit as repulsive as Craig, but with impenetrable smugness in place of Craig's occasional vulnurability.

I suppose he's more likely to be on chat shows because he's more articulate but there's so many BB HMs swilling around I don't really see what the attraction is.

Good point.

As if Margaret Thatcher would want a speechwriter to determine policy.

Maybe rainbow thinks politicians are just the mouthpieces of speechwriters!

Can't say I find him articulate at all, he stammers, has overly long pauses and talks far too slowly. I find him irritating to listen to sometimes. Not to mention his condescending attitude towards the working classes.

I did say "more articulate". Most of the HMs can't form a complete sentence or resort to shouting.

all of which makes him an excellent HM. He can be funny, he is - at times - quite kind. Absolutely convinced of his superiority (which is very misguided of him) but MUCH easier to watch than John Tickle!

When you have to walk the streets to find dropped pennies to be able to afford a loaf of SaverPrice 10p bread, and that's the only thing you will be eating that week...?

I'm not going back there

Sorry about that.

How did you get into that situation?

Easier to watch then Tickle is pretty faint praise.

Is that a similar kind of attitude to that expressed by many forum members concerning Lesley?
