I agree completely. Far too much has been suggested - far too much time has been put into creating websites etc - for it to come to nothing

Mods - can we delete this thread and start a new one tomorrow?”

I agree with gymboy- its to early to start this thread-

this is just the old thread with a different name

Why not wait till the episode has been on, then open the thread. By the time the episode has aired this will be 5 or 6 pages long and will therefore definatley NOT be about the episode that it should be

Well I still disagree. Does it really matter which thread we post in as long as there is only one thread on the go at any one time

Loved the hidden message in the BW disclaimer and I would love to congratulate the web designers that have been having so much fun this season of Doctor Who and have really added to the experience.

OK now to speculate about Boom Town, why is Mickey in Cardiff and is Margret Slitheen going to be as full of hot air as politicians usually are?

Too many babies spitting dummies I think... 3 years ago no-one would have entertained a Doctor Who thread anywhere... some people are never grateful... those Southerners...

but surely the point of the thread is to discuss the episode just shown, and any theories, storylines arising from it, by starting this early the thread is not about tomorrows episode at all, its still carrying on from the previous one.

There is no point in having seperate threads for episodes if thats what we are going to do. Just keep the one thread going week on week

Of course the problem would be solved with a sci fi forum, where you could have a general Dr Who discussion, AND an episode specific discussion.

hey andyscouser- how are you?

Im not throwing my toys from the pram, but the first post asked the question "its not to early to start is it?", the poster therefore obviously thought it was, or wouldnt have asked.

as a result we have this discussion which proves my point that it becomes not about the episode.

And I am very grateful to have a Dr Who thread, (along with a eurovision thread)

Ha ha ha... was just getting your attention.. I agree completely with the sci-fi thread... the Doctor Who ones are inpossible to read through due to them all being merged. Who do we campaign to to ask for a Sci-Fi thread!?

Oi mate don't you go slagging Southerners - some of the best DWs (and people thinking this non-argument is daft) happen to be Southerners
Surely we can all unite on the point that given our own forum (or sub-forum) this weekly dull petty row would be a non-starter?

Well that is ONE thing I agree with you about.

There has been very little - if any - talk about the 28th May episode on the '28th May epsiode' thread for the last few days - therefore surely the speculation about upcoming episdoes is not out of place in a thread about an upcoming episode

Gutted Girl - I agree that the BBC web designers should be congratulated - the supporting websites are excellent

This is clearly unmanageable and virtualy unreadable. Many different discussions have got mixed up and lost.

Can we please have a separate sci-fi section and be allowed to discuss different topics with useful headers?”

Please use the 'contact us' button at the bottom right of the page and add your opinion to the rest of ours for a seperate sci-fi sub-forum.

they arent merged, they just tend to spiral out of control

It's never been a row for me... i've always been too lost to even try and add to the episode discussions.. hence why I agree there should be a Sci-Fi thread...

Sounds like heresy to me - but Gallifrey is gone, you know - and with it, the Eye!

ive found the dr who threads quite manageable. in a separate sci fi forum im sure the mods would only allow one thread open for each episode anyway. so im quite happy with this arrangement. i also dont think a friday night is too early for this thread, it builds up the excitement

RTD is one of the biggest 'anoraks' ever - he's also written a couple of the 'new adventures' - he knows how much we will dissect the episodes, and he will give us a conclusion he would be happy to see himself.

Surely, there's nothing wrong with having a bit of discussion about the episode before it airs?

Again, please use the 'contact us' button at the bottom right of each page to send a very polite request to the mods for a sci-fi sub-forum.
