Don't you feel with this guy that he's always on the edge of shouting and losing his temper? He needs to destress.

I would hate to be stuck in that house with him. It's kind of scary.

Scary because he's a young black man?

No one mentions that Kemal shouts alot, or Roberto, or Saskia and Mary having a barny... no one thought they were scary...

I think Science is actually very intelligent. He worked out about Makosi`s task quite easily.

I think some people may think his manner of talking is "threatening" in some way...........but that`s just their perception and not necessarily everyone elses.

Oh, for crying out loud, I should've seen that one coming.

No, scary because he's very aggressive. The others shout a lot, but he is, in my opinion, always on the edge of anger.

The colour of his skin doesn't figure in my assessment of him, FFS.

Hey lets turn this harmless thread into another one about racism!!!!

I'll start - anyone who is scared by Science 'expressing himself' must be a racist He is black afterall.

His kicking of Roberto a couple days over the food seemed to go on for a lifetime. Even when he got the last word he came back and started it up again! Was funny when he finally left saying "I only came in for a bottle opener"!!

Science needs to relax a bit more. There are a few people in there this time who appear to be too self conscious.

You left out Derek going off on one.

It's not the fact that Science shouts, I don't think he actually shouts much at all. It's more to do with his negative attitude, his voice doesn't have a positive note to it on many occasions. Sad really because I think he's quite a nice bloke, he doesn't smile enough though. His manner gives the impression that he's right no matter what and if you don't agree then you're at fault.

I don't think it's intentional, it's just the way he is.

He's just pi**ed off because he's not the alpha male. Ego problem.

Also, racism. Why is it the first ism anyone jumps on at ANY given opportunity?

He may not be shouting but you can always hear Science when he speaks, if saying that is racist then hey stick the label on me.

YAY! Another harmless thread hi-jacked to cries of 'Racism'!!!

I predict this will get out of hand just like all the Victor threads last year.

Why is it no one can criticise science without instantly being accused of being racist, its happened a good few timeson the boards now.Ridicoulous. Check out the ''Science knows'' thread, all sorts of ''is it cos he's black nonsense. and the same on the makosi thread.

Really.

What some people fail to understand is, constant cries of racism, cause racism.

I know my answer was for koopy.

The cries of racism at the drop of a hat have become a very predictable and tiresome occurance on this forum - last year it became a complete joke because any thread about Victor or even Ahmed automatically became an ugly slanging match between people accusing each other of racism.

It was silly because a lot of very interesting discussions got hijacked by endless accusations of racism. Not to mention how boring it and predictable it got too. It was almost as boring as the endless threads about transgender issues.

It's not "'cos he is black", but he he does have a very "urban" way of speaking. Lots of the young men round where I live (inner city Sarf London) speak in that way - regardless of their colour. When I first started working in a ward for young people down here it did take me sometime to tune in to when they were genuinely being aggressive and when they were just not speaking like grammar school educated, small town born and bred, radio 4 listening me! Normally I find swearing and threats of violence are a good clue!

i never get acussing people of racism on a message boared.

yes people are racist and probably people on this forum too who don't like science because of it but there is no way to prove it so there is no point mentioning it.
