Twaddle. Mary has been in bed for most of the week. A bit early to be throwing your toys out just cos your favourite has gone.

As usual the GBP vote out the wrong hm. I dread to think who's going to win this year.

Perhaps Craig will delight us all with a Christina Aguilera impersonation tonight - that should liven things up

Cornchips, Mary wasnt my fave. I am just saying what I see - the house has has calmed down since Mary has gone. Kemal is probably my fave, although I think it's too early to choose a fave HM.

It's ALWAYS subdued the day after an eviction. Last year the HMs would spring clean all day. This year they're making small talk.

Give it a couple of days and it'll all be back to normal...

Behave, the show has only just started by end of next week she will have been forgotten about and you'll be whinging about how the next nomination was a wrong choice by the GBP.

The lull will give Craig time to rehearse his WINNERS SPEACH

Haha. How stupid. This thread was pointless, cause I can see you back here in about a week or less.

The series didn't die because Mary left. She was hardly even an entertaining character the majority of the time she was in there. Sure, she was interesting when she first arrived and was entertaining on her birthday, but other than that she just moped around, bitched about people (like people complain about Craig doing) and kept on moaning about wanting to leave the house. WOW WHAT A VALUABLE ASSET SHE WAS.

I admit I did like Mary and was sad to see her go, but at the end of the day (Gah! They're affecting me!) she was less entertaining than a lot of other housemates, so the series was far from surviving on her back, I'm afraid.

Besides, I'm sure this is the reaction received when Kitten got kicked out last year. But there were still plenty of strong characters to keep the series running until the end and make it one of the most entertaining ones to date. I think the same thing will happen with this one.

Looks like it's all set to be another week of arguments to me. So if you enjoyed that last week, you should enjoy what's to come this week.

Mary was weird anyway, she contradicted herself constantly.

"They're all brainless"

except Science, he's very intelligent and kemal, he/she's very intelligent and makosi, she's very intelligent and let's not forget Derek, Maxwell and Saskia (who is very intelligent even though she hates her guts)

She loved Science to bits but when Davina asked her which two people she'd like to see after the show, she initially said Kemal and Makosi (then changed her mind after seeing makosi's shennanigans)

Judge Dread shall dread the mornings, waking thinking he has his way, then realising Mary went against our dear Craig!

Na, you're (like me) just pissed off at BB's awful 'twist' in letting Makosi choose the two up for eviction.

Come back chuck

She had not done anything for days bar the "turn off the cameras" outburst.

The public are so unbelievably stupid. Imagine if the first Big Brother was really popular from the start, Nasty Nick would have been voted out quite quickly, and, ironically, would not have been caught out in the house for cheating.

The thing with Mary was, the other housemates didn't know how to take her - yet she had an endearing quality that kept Roberto for example, coming back to comfort her even after they'd argued. Maxwell was attracted to her aswell, and she had friends in Craig, Lesley and Science - all the kind of people who wouldn't mix with her in the outside world.

This brought a unique situation to the house where sides to those housemates characters were brought out - but now they have receded and have gone into "normal" mode.

As people have said, it's "business as usual" now. A bunch of standard characters that you would find a dozen of if you walked into any bar or club for example.

It's a reflection of mundane society, whereas Mary was quite unique, and her strong character brought that uniquness to the house.

The reason Nasty Nick stayed in as long as he did was because he played the game well, got the housemates to like him and was never up for the public vote. This fact would hve remained the same whether or not more than 100 were watching.

How was she unique? She was an adult acting like a teenage in the middle of their goth faze. Actually I take the question back - for someone to get to her age without having outgrown that "lifestyle" is unique.
