when I was sitting in G4's dressing room th other night at their concert I am so glad I told them what VILE and vindictive fans they have...most of them are ok but some of you bring the rest of them down...such a shame and the boys thought so too once I made sure I gave them your names

I don't know where you get your idea that Steve's career is over xCherylx - I don't get that impression at all. Just because he has adopted a different approach than G4 doesn't mean he will be forgotten in a year - maybe some people would like it but it isn't going to happen.
G4 have certainly made an impressive start - let's see if they can keep the momentum going. The next couple of years will be crucial for all the artists

Cheryl, I am a Steve fan who really likes G4 too and with the greatest respect, I think you're talking out of your backside when you say Steve's career is down the toilet.

It's far too early to say whether either Steve OR G4 will have longevity in their career. So far, they have both done very well. I am delighted for G4 that their album sold so well. And yes it IS impressive, regardless of when it was released. I hope their next album sells well, but only time will tell for both Steve and G4. I think it's totally ludicrous to say an artist who's just had a number one album is on his way out.

I think you should think before you say silly things like that.

With respect Karen, I'm allowed an opinion. I just think that since Steve has been treated so badly by his management, a chance of any career (the career that he rightly deserves) is over. I personally think that as soon as X-Factor 2 starts Simon will forget about Steve, being the selfish b*stard that he is.

When you work for BMG then you can say stuff like that, but to be honest, you don't know half the stuff that goes on behind the scenes, the phone calls etc.

Of course you're allowed an opinion, but you stated it as fact that steve's career has gone down the toilet. Too many people seem have a crystal ball where Steve's career is headed. That's what I take issue with.

I agree his management haven't been as supportive as they might be, but it still doesn't mean the end for him. He's big enough to take care of his own career.....look at Will.

I've lost count of how many times I've answered that question. I like Steve's MUSIC, not necessarily Steve as a person - I have his album and he was always my second favourite during The X-Factor. I am concerned about what happens to him because I feel he's been treated unfairly - plus I don't know why you lot are complaining, I've seen plenty of posts from Steve fans about the lack of promotion and his general career.

If you can find me a quote where I say I like Steve as a person then let me know, because as far as I know I have never said that. I like Steve's music and I go onto his site to see if he's performing anywhere. I sometimes post, but I usually don't because of the amount of abuse I get for voicing an opinion.

Just because some of us are unhappy with his promotion doesn't mean his career has "gone down the toilet" as you put it. Like Karen has said time will tell whether anyone from the X Factor will be successful, there's a long way to go before you crack open the bubbly yet, I still believe G4 are a novelty act and that it will wear off. I think their second album will be more telling.

I'm struggling to find the logic that justifies your actions.

It seems strange to register disgust at 'VILE and vindictive fans' by doing something that is in itself pretty vindictive.

But I guess your final comment explains your motivation.

Oddly enough "vile", "immature" and "vindictive" were exactly the words I used to describe the culture of this site and the reason most G4 fans no longer post here when I was chatting to Steve in the queue at KFC the other day....

Much as you would like to believe that G4 only have 2 fans, there are many others who used to post on here and don't anymore.

Your post here being a prime example of why......rude, unnecessary and personal comments which are posted by Steve fans, i can only imagine out of envy that their 'winner' isn't (so far) doing as well....which none of you can deny.

Sorry but I've more to do than keep up with this ridiculous personalisation of your posts.

G4's album sold brilliantly and I frequently enjoy my copy of it.I doubt I'll buy another though because the novelty value wouldn't stretch to a second one.I will however download Barcelona from i-tunes if its on the album since I thought that was brilliant.

I find it ammusing that you refer to G4 fans as immature fools when it seems that Steve fans cannot accept the facts.

Cheryl is only telling the truth. Steve has fallen out of the Top 40 albums in less than 4 weeks with less than 100,000 sales. That is not impressive. Once again I don't want to repeat myself but positions in the album chart mean nothing if the album sales cannot match them. A pulled single is indicative of the fact that record company has no confidence in Steve's pulling in the sales and is not willing to spend the money on promoting it.
