Advice for a concert novice (U2 - twickers)
Hi
Any advice for a concert novice? I am going to U2 at Twickenham on Sunday 19th. Last time I went to a big concert (Robbie) I drove and parked, and then took six hours to get out of the car park. Can you drive and park near the stadium. If you go by train. what time will it finish (so I can see whether I can get out and home that night) Or should I just bite the bullet and stay over somewhere? Or am I worrying too much? kfv |

As its on a Sunday, it'll probably be finished by finished by 10.30 as this is usually a condition to get a licence.
I've been to quite a lot of large gigs and not once ever dared to take the car. Its absolute carnage. If its away from home, I usually stay over. |

For Twickenham I would recommend driving to a station a few stops away (Ashford or Staines) and taking advantage of cheap weekend parking, then hop on the train to Twickenham. Its the easiest way to get there for such a big event.

Prepare for a walk... Its quite a way to the stadium from the stations..
And if you plan on having a drink or two, do it before you arrive at Twickingham. There are virtually no pubs near the place, and you will get charged a lot if you get it from within the arena. |
