Hi,

I'm looking for a very basic mobile phone, non contract. It'll mainly be used for texting, with only occasional phone calls, so low cost per text message I guess should be the key factor.

I don't need camera, MP3 player, cigarette lighter built in.

Any suggestions, you kind, helpful DS folk?

A Nokia 3510 is basic as well, but has polyphonic ringtones.

I second that! 1100 is a great phone if you need a phone to do what it should do - make calls and send texts!

Cracking little phone, and yours for £27.99 with £25 credit on virgin

I would also say the Nokia 1100, very easy to use. Also has changeable covers and a torch feature in the top of the phone (powered by an LED).

I'd go with the nokia 1100, all the basic features, + a flash light for good measure.

I fourth nokia 1100, no need for paying £27.99 either. SHop around hard and 1 or 2 places sell it for less than a TENNER!!!!!!!!!! new (may have to get with credit, however. It is a good SMALL phone. Unless you would like a coulor screen or would prefer an old, but still remarkably popular 3310, this is best.

PN Nothing to do with the thread but go to my thread here: http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board...ad.php?t=228407 for FREE CRAZY FROG. Jamster shall die

I'd go with a Nokia 1100. Great no frills phone, built like a brick Sh$^house and great battery life. quite slim and discrete too.
Very easy to unlock to other networks too.

For text messages go on either orange or o2 online.
