My bestfriend and I were out shopping today and she brought the new album my Geri Halliwell and on the way home she put it on in my car. Now to my amazement it was fantastic there is a really good song called Love Never Loved Me which sounds like an old ABBA track and there is one called Loving Me Back To Life which Guy Chambers give her. I have to say even though the single has flopped and EMI will be dropping her it is a shame because so many songs on this album were better than the ones she released.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Frankly, I don't think it's worth using as a coaster but each to their own.

But #37... Just shows you how much sales have gone down thanks to illegal downloading and whatnot!

Honesty people are laughing at it but it really is a good pop album and I'm not even a Geri fan.

I feel bad as I downloaded it and actually enjoy it, the last song is very fun. I just havent got the guts to go in MVC and get laughed at by the staff for buying it. The cd cover is awfull, she should have just put another picture on the front of her dog or something.

I got strange looks for buying Mel C's boring album by MVC staff so didnt want the humiliation again for Geri.

Sorry Geri.

If you had bothered to read the post above you would see album sales are at a all time high

I know that - but 1,700 for an album in the chart is very low. Even though overall sales might be higher, that is still a low figure.

How times change..The Stranglers gave away a free single with their "Black '& White"LP,limited to 75,000 copies, then released it as a single later..it still got to number 21,despite 75,000 people already owning it..

Anyone else old enough will remember the days before a picture cover on a single as standard and was a limited edition of around 25,000!!

Yes but the b side to the released version was different to that on the free single,so some people would have bought it again to get the new track.

IIRC the free single was Mean To Me/Ti*s/Walk On By. Walk On By was the track later released, backed with Old Codger and Tank.

Hmm. Lets see here. Gerri has sold 1700.

...

...

Coldplay has sold 150,000...

hmmm.

I can hear the record company tearing up the contract from here... should have been done a few months ago to be honest.

They could always sign me - I'm sure I could shift more than 1,700!
