My o2 online contract is due to end (the 1st 12 months) in a month, i was thinking of phoning and cancelling my contract, got the S700i and seeing if they would offer me the K750i for free or a reduced price to get me to stay.

I also need to change my mobile number because I have had sales calls which o2 are reponsible for (they passed my details forward to others). Id like to stay on the same package (online off-peak 300) but wanted the K750i.

If i were to say i have found a better deal with Voda or someone will they try and keep me, and give me what I want?

Surely you dont need to change your number just because of a few sales calls?

If you change your number what is stoping them from giving out your info again?

Why not just cancel your contract and start a new one - that way you get the new number, a new phone, and a choice of any tariff currently available.

Simple, this time you tell them you don't want your number used for any marketing purposes
