Well I guess one thing is that people will really have to vote for the person they want to leave the most and not to protect the person they want to stay - unless they are prepared to vote against the 11 other people. Oh stupid me - that's probably EXACTLY what Endemol are hoping for. If it's successful they will probably find some ploy for having the maximum number of housemates up for eviction every week ...

That would be fair game considering she broke a rule.”

Personally I quite like the way they did this - playing head games with both Vanessa and Saskia by telling them the truth in advance and leaving it to both of them to tell or not tell.

They fully expect Lesley to go on the basis of her deplorable behaviour, but they should state clearly that she is being punished for bullying and, frankly, should be evicted anyway.”

I think this is an interesting example of how this forum seems to be out of sync with the public. The whole bullying story line has not had the same prominence on the mainstream BB forums and the Ch4 site.

In todays Mirror Lesley and Craig are portrayed in a positive light and the favourite for eviction is Sam with Vanessa, Ant and Roberto also under fire. Sometimes it seems as though there are two different series -some kind of weird parallel dimension where Lesley and Craig are not a pair of horrid, cackling bullies but humerous and jolly japesters.

This place is always way out of sync with public opinion. I never heard a single person in the real world bad-mouth Cameron for example, but in here he's Satan's child...

There are 2 different series. The live one and the edited one. Before anyone says anything, yes I KNOW it has to be edited, but if you ask anyone who watches both live feeds and the highlight show, there are often strong discrepancies between what happened and how it was shown. For whatever reason, C4 have decided to ignore the issue as is their right, but it sends the wrong message.

Even from the highlight show, anyone who thinks that Lesley is a "jolly japester" should seriously watch the programmes again and rethink.

Bullying isn't against the Big Brother rules. Think what you will of it, but someone shouldn't be chucked out for it, only by official channels (i.e. public vote)

It should be. If "Big Brother can change the rules at any time" then they should forthwith and correct this gross oversight.

Mental torture is forbidden under the Geneva Convention, so I'm pretty sure that the Big Brother rules take that as a given.

No, I don't think I'm exaggerating, as this is a malicious and continuous campaign against a single HM by a group of HMs.

They are definitely keeping Sam in, she would have been up in a one-on-one both weeks, and both times that hasnt happened.

I think you are. To invoke the Geneva Convention at this stage is laughable, I think.

Does a bit of sniping and HONESTY (for that's what it boils down to - "I don't like you") REALLY compare with the kind of torture that might be employed by an army? Sir, step away from the Bostik.

Of course not, I was just pointing out that mental cruelty, especially when continuous, is a serious enough issue as to be banned at the highest level.

Of course, what we have here is a minor case of emotional bullying, but it should be stopped now before it is allowed to escalate and people start to think that that behaviour is acceptable.

I could not agree more with this post Dr Steve.

I wondered if this was Endemols way of dealing with the way the make up bag incident has been interpreted on a lot of forums (including this one) as more than a silly prank.
Thanks to live streaming and a large number of people watching it and posting the entire episode on forums more people got to see that is was planned purely to make Sam cry and that not only her lip gloss but her tablets were in the bag which is also why she was so upset by it. Rather than the edited version shown in the highlights show.

Plus that group of six were also discussing nominations and agreeing they were all going to go for Sam etc... and Endemol/Channel 4 did nothing even though it was a breach of the rules. So when Vanessa blatently said she would vote for Sam to get back in Lesley's good books they had to do something.

This is great for the general public and relieves Endemol/Channel 4 of having to take any action against certain housemates.

Of course money is a big motivator, BB6 has been losing viewers to Celeb love Island and how dire is that?

The producers of BB6 follow the forums like everybody else and they can see how much people want Lesley out for her spiteful bitchy behaviour, so they now have the perfect way to get her out, by letting the public decide. They make lots of money from voters, I know I will be voting more then once for Lesley to leave and I usually only vote closer to the end of the BB series. How many other viewers are also going to break their one vote rule to vote for Lesley?

Anyway with Lesley gone we should hopefully see other sides to people like Vanessa and Sam, well we can but hope. So all in all a great decision to put everyone up for the public vote.

I was wondering that. The sleazebag producers would know full well that if Sam goes, there's little scope for any really tawdry antics. The others - wannabes though they may be - are not going to go beyond a certain line with the sexual antics. Lesley would, but nobody wants what she's got to offer.
