well you should doubt it, i might be completely barmy, as might Saskia with her ridiculous groundrules for evry potential boyfriend

maybe for Saskis a black face means instant non husband material

i think Saskia showed her hand on her audition tape, for me this non-husband material stuff is the same, i'm not being prejudiced, i'm not being stereotypical blah, blah.

i really doubt she has ever even had a kiss with a black bloke.

She sounds a lot like my boyfriend!

I think in general I like Saskia, I don't credit her with particular quick thinking or subtle intuitions, but she's not a crack pot or a bitch. I admit I haven't seen the audition tape though - was she really cheerleading for the bnp?

yeah but did your boyfriend state the rules when you first met him

"hello maimou, do you fancy a dance but i must say if this goes any further than tonight and we end up in a relationship then you must become my slave when i have got a cough, if you don't agree to this i shall be forced to forget the dance and you are obviously not wife material"

the words 'husband/wife material' are surely enough to send most sane people running for their lives, first date or not!

Saskia was being hugely stereotypical but not in the way she meant. As a black man who has interacially-dated and mixes often in the company of friends of all colours, I am sick and tired of the way some women, many of whom are also black, constantly denigrate black men in order to appease the ego's of non-black men. It wasn't black men that invented the myth of supposed sexual superiorty, (and the decent black men - not the type Saskia goes for of course- is not as interested in benefitting from it as much as some might imagine, because we're busy with , oh little things like work, marriage, children etc) it wasn't black men that constantly warned non-black women not to get intimate with us (and we all know women want what they can't have right?) and it's not black men that tell sex-starved Bridget jones types to go and have "rastitute" holdiays in Jamacia and Africa.

Did Saskia describe in detail what it was about these black men (it seems none of them treated her well, but she went out with more than one - go figure) what it was about these black men that she found attractive? Didn't think so. Why say anything positive with Max, Anthony and the rest of the non-black male population watching...

The worst thing is, I don't think Max or Anthony are in any way bothered about "matching up" and increasingly, (I think/hope/pray) niether are the majority of non-black men. Hopefully we are fast approaching that golden age where people are judged on their individual personalities.

Although I am currently dating a black woman (and I'll be down to the Studio's in a shot if Makosi is evicted!)
I personally can't wait till the whole world is mixed race, then this bull***t will stop.

Lastly, two open questions to Saskia: maybe those black men didn't behave like husband material because they didn't see her as wife material and:

Before he got married, did you think David Beckham was husband material, huh?

Silly c**t.

And I missed the strip-off!

This is the kind of ridiculous point-scoring that always accompanies an issue like this. So your point cuzman, is what exactly? On a ratio of 1 to 3 white guys are less terrible fathers than black guys?

Please explain why you posted this tripe so that I can disgrace you on a public forum for the bigot you undoubtedly are.

I think there are a lot of insecure men of all races, many of whom diminish any counterparts/competitors they have, based on any available 'evidence' going. The Fact white men are made to feel insecure by black men, or vice versa is not news.

consider the legacy of the Roman empire..

consider the millions of people that the romans brutalised and enslaved, of whom most were caucasian..

africans were doing the 'dirty deed' to each other long time before europeans stepped in..

when will those who are so concerned for Africa raise complaint about africans who still continue to take part in the slave trade of their own people and fellow neighbours.

the colonial slavery of africans was grotesque but 'they' are not the only ones who have suffered the legacy of brutal abuse..

it's not enuff to focus into selective parts of living-history and claim an exclusive consideration...this only blots out the remaining whole of the picture..

racism, bigotory ect does NOT have a colour-tag..
and it's a human defect that cannot be solved if people continue to cry "it's only WE who suffer"..

complaints of the 'above' nature should be upheld for ALL.

Oh please u cannot be blaming slavery for the slackness of some black men!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Usually when people preface a statement with "I'm not being racist, but..." they are about to say something racist. Substitute "stereotypical" for "racist", and Saskia just lost my support. Silly cow.

Saskia is 1/4 Sri Lankan anyway so unless she is dissing her own granny.....
There are lots of reasons why a guy is not "husband material" but, as Saskia is a good looking girl, I imagine she attracts good looking young men of all ethnicities. Good Looking young men generally don't usually list "settling down" as a priority, and possibly wouldn't consider the long term. It certainly feasible that the majority of more serious minded men she knows just happen not to be black.. So what? She probably knows more white men and if that's so, then statistically her observation is entirely predictable

Why are you twisting the statement?

The magic words were 'in her experience', meaning that she had been out with black men but the ones she'd chosen to date hadn't impressed her enough to make her want to marry them. That's not being stereotypical.

Fropm the sounds of it, she was extrapolating from her own experience to make a point about ALL black men.

My (white) grandfathers liked to play bowls and listen to Glenn Miller. I like neither activity. Even further back up the family tree, my more distant ancestors enjoyed cavorting together unclothed and throwing shit at one another, yet I strangely feel no urge to do so myself. The notion that black men have a 'legacy' from the days of slavery, though it seems to be a guilty excuse for slack behaviour by some people now, is itself racist in its reasoning. I wonder if this concept has its origins in guilty white academics, or from black thinkers? Hmm...

I didn't say she said all.

Why say she is not being stereotypical?”

Well then talking about her experiences. Why the need to start a thread about it?

But she is not discounting black (green or blue?) guys either as she says she .. mainly goes for white guys ...

Implying that people are trying to make out Saska has a problem with black guys when its probably not the case

Looks like people just out to have a dig a Saskia ...

I went to school with Saskia, and she was known for her fondness of 'black men' having been out with loads........As they say "once you go black......you dont go back".
