Hogan's column:

"Beneath the hot temper and the attitude surrounding this man, there is a wonderful human being trying to get out. At his best he is caring and compassionate with a strong sense of natural justice and fair play.

You can't vote him out now. He could be this year's winner."

Hmmmmmm. Agree completely. He is the first housemate this year that I have genuine affection for and would like to see in the final.

He's also 10/1 so I had my very first Big Brother bet!

I agree with you there, I have liked him from the start, I think that he is a genuine person

Science was my predicted winner on launch night. I still think he could win - if he doesn't shoot himself in the foot.

At the moment he's one of the front runners for me.

Eight weeks yet though. *fingers crossed*

if he's up for eviction, the public probably won't vote him out.

But if its between him and a white person in the final,he's going to lose.

REALITY CHECK- britain cannot relate to him, yeah us internet messageboard users like him and would vote but we dont make up the voting population, sorry

I wrote that some time ago-he might win if everyone else is disliked(it still looks like Kemal or Saskia with maybe Maxwell at the moment though)

I'd love him to win..he is the only one I have warmed to

He seems genuine....I just think people misunderstand him a lot of time

Maxwell-: "everyones getting on my f*ucking tits"

oh he's just a little annoyed

Science-: "everyones getting on my f*ucking nerves"

OH NO HE'S EDGY,QUICKLY WE NEED TO EVICT HIM BEFORE HE TURNS INTO VICTOR AND HURTS SOMEBODY. HE'S TRYING TO BE GHETTO.

I think both Max and Science have ppreconceived ideas about each other.

Much like people watching them both.

I love how earnest he is about everything.

He's like the school swot who's got loads of interesting things to say but no one can be bothered to listen to because they are too impressed by the "cool" kids (Maxwell ) talking crap.

IF he can control his temper. IF he can learn to listen and process information before he speaks. IF he can stay away from the bitches.

Essentially Science is a good lad. His heart is definitely in the right place, his morals are sound and he does have a wisdom lacking in everyone else.

By the time he's 30 I'm sure he'll be a wise and considerate man but for the moment he's still a stroppy kid. ...It's not the first time I've had this problem with a housemate and if BB keep selecting children I'm sure it won't be the last

Yeah, even Lesley would beat him if they were the final 2. Not nice, but that's the way it is.

It's got to that point, hasn't it, where you can really start sensing who could seriously go the distance.
Would be nice to watch his journey and I think, along with Kemal, their time in the house will be real highlights. Would like to see Makosi come back to form. Those three are my final three.

I'd love to see Science in the final, seeing him in the Nurse role last night was great. He was really getting into the role, and without getting drunk again and losing his rag, then I would want him to win.

I like Science. Very clever, very intuitive, very astute...I just fea he may lose his temper again and get chucked out.

As one poster somewhere on here put..which made me laugh...'he could start and arguement in an empty room.'

If he could just control his temper and learn to not shout his views..he does have a shot at winning. But actually, and I don't often think this...I am not sure if he is that bothered about winning it.

I may be wrong though.

I'm finding his "hard and edgy" character a bit tiresome and false. He's convinced himself he has to be this way, and seems to show absolutely no care about how uncomfortable he sometimes makes people feel.

He's a decent guy, but I don't think he's being all that honest with himself about who he is.

I've been thinking much the same thing. Initially I wasn't sure about him, but he has grown on me.

I do worry that his temper could be his downfall though.

I disagree, why do people have to keep bringing skin colour into the equation? Doesn't matter to me what colour he is, it's about personality. Why are we no longer allowed to just dislike a person regardless of colour? If he's white & I don't like him that's fine, if he's black and I don't like him I'm racist. FFS. There was a thread a while back accusing anyone who didn't fancy Makosi of being racist!

I also think you're doing a huge disservice to the entire UK population by saying that's they are too thick to judge anyone by anything other than colour. I'm pretty damn sure that few people could relate to Nadia last year, yet she won by a landslide. How many people can relate to Kamel this year? Yet he's joint favourite!

He doesn't make people uncomfortable. They all like him.

Roberto makes far more of them uncomfortable, especially the women.

If anything, I think being black is going to help this year. There's always some politically correct agenda, and my instincts tell me this year there will be a black winner.

And I'd like to watch him drop that act and find himself during this series. Much better viewing that a couple of girls squabbling.

I didn't say they didn't like him, I said he makes them feel uncomfortable (when he loses it). Considering he has stood there pointing a finger in Roberto's chest, and thrown a bin at Max, that's understandable enough.

I respect the guy for the positions he's taken, both on the waterbomb night, and make up bag night, but I do think the whole "I'm edgy" thing is bollocks, and will be quite glad to see someone tell him so at some point. Have the intelligence and guts to be considerate to other people, and not always react in such an aggressive manner over such trivial things

I wouldn't argue that.

Science is my favourite. I can see underneath his tough exterior lies a heart of gold. He will stand up for himself/anyone he feels is being treated unfairly. He doesn't seem to care if the cameras are on him during one of his rants, so long as he airs his grievances.

He is far from perfect, like the rest of us, but I think he has had a decent upbringing and knows right from wrong and has set moral standards.

I really don't think it matters what colour your skin is to a lot of the GBP, what does matter is how much of an amusing HM you are.

Agenda or not, are there really that many voters who are going to spend their money purely to make sure a contestant of the right ethnic background wins??? Or are they going to vote for who makes them laugh?

I want Maxwell to win, and my opinion is based on him as a person, not his colour. If he was black, asian, chinese etc etc I'd still want him to win.
