There just seems to be something a bit odd about the way she acts even though she laughs manically a lot she never smiles and as soon as she finishes laughing she goes back to a really serious face??

I get the impression it is a nervous laugh. Today her smile/laugh look a lot more genuine.

No, she's just nervous, and that's been made worse by the bullying she's received. She certainly doesn't look like someone with mental health problems right now, enjoying a water fight out in the garden.

Not nervous - desperate. Its a different thing but people on here seem to be confused by the two things.

Just nervy and a bit insecure, I think. Not helped by the treatment she's been getting in there.

It's a false laugh. Agree with other posters it's probably cos she's nervous. Nothing to do with any problem with her mental health... just her self esteem.

do you want to see her smile all the time?

Just practicing her model face, don't get too many smiley models. Its all about her wanting to be a model remember the make up.

i wouldn't be suprised... she is quiet as a mouse a lot of the time, but when her make-up bag went missing she was like a different person... maybe it's just lesley's influence

You've got to be bonkers to go into that house anyway for gawd's sake.

what i find most fascinating about sam - for she has certainly grown on me recently - is that she is a curious but actual outsider. by which i mean: to look at her she should fit in very well anywhere: handsome face, slim, attractive body, mild manners...but she finds it a constant struggle. i imagine this is the same outside the house as well as in judging by a conversation she had with lesley yesterday where she confessed to being unsociable always.
her mannerisms are tic-like and never settle...she is constantly out of the groove of her personality..there is no flow there. and this makes her very interesting to watch against all these charcters who are considerably at ease in their skins.

OK she does smile a bit, but when she does it looks forced to the extreme....she never looks like she's really having fun IMO maybe the bullying she had in the past still affects her it must have been pretty nasty to have this much of an effect

As opposed to that kind loveable Sam?

I don't know what's going on in that head of hers, but I suspect it's a moth and two small beetles.

I dont think she has mental health issues, but I do think that she isnt really a suitable candidate for big brother.

she's just not a comfortable person and is definitely more at ease as an observer, and this isnt the sort of person that should be there

I'm beginning to realise that she's not a bad person

I dont think she is either, but as someone so obviously insecure and nervous, is the BB house really the best environment for her? Especially this year...she may have been ok in BB4 perhaps, with genuinely nicer people.

yes, I think that these people are probably just not 'her kind of people' and she'd be better off somewhere with a more mature atmosphere

Sam will be fine if Lesley goes. She may still be a bit quirky, but she's already become much less so since the nastiness had decreased.

The logic that Sam should be evicted because the other HMs are so un-nice is a bit odd, to say the least.
